Find the negativity hard to fathom. We have got high quality players in early so they can have a full preseason. ITK still suggests we are looking to bring more in, but importantly will only bring in players who will make a difference and are not expensive squad fillers. Thanks to all the ITK who do a wonderful job keeping us entertained during the off season!

The negativity is wrong, but I'm not 100% happy with our business. We were told we had a significant transfer kitty with the release of funds. We know how lucrative CL football is. Despite that, we've spent money on Richarlison, Bissouma (who was a steal) and Spence. The rest were loans and free transfers.

When, as a Club, you announce that you have 150m of funds incoming, plus CL revenue, you must expect that your fanbase will expect to see transfer spending of above 100m. And we haven't. So it's always going to lead to questions such as "what happened to that 150m+?".

Our main opponents have strengthened significantly. City look to be a train, Chelsea have spent a lot, Arsenal look better than last year. So any improvement we've made, and we have made improvements, may be matched or outweighed by our rivals' improvements, nullifying ours.

Given that we heard about the funds, I can understand why some are suggesting that we have underspent. We knew for example that we needed an elite CB and we haven't got one. We know that Conte wants another wide forward, and we haven't got one. Our RWB position is still a bit of an unknown, as we brought in Spence who may well do really well, but he's not proven and Conte is saying he is one for the future. So as things stand, we have the same two players there that we were mainly moaning about last year.

So yes we've had a relatively good window, but I don't think it's been amazing. Neither of course has it been as bad as some are making out.

Thanks for the ITK y'all!
I really like that you are positive and think we migh get 1 or even 2 more players in and this is a window I'm really happy with as we have improved a lot and got the "bad eggs" out on loan.

It will be a fun day tomorrow to follow deadline day ?

He's not happy with our transfer window, club promises of spending more, hence the £150 million. Started out well but fell short again. Was expecting a couple more big signings to come in to complete the squad, but as per usual there is an 'excuse' why we didn't follow through with the hype. Perhaps he feels Conte is not going to be best pleased and his frustration is the possible knock on effect that could have on Conte's future with us.

That would be my interpretation, but as 99.9% of my interpretations are wrong, feel free to make up your own conclusion. In true SC style, I've now cemented my opinion as fact in my head and in a few years time when we have a new manager, I'll bring this up as proof that it's all Levy's fault again.
For the record, these are my thoughts on what Hercules meant by his post.

Although id like one more in, I feel weve had a decent transfer window.

As long as Kane and Conte are happy with the progress, then im happy.

But you're missing one very, very important thing in that we haven't underspent - we just haven't spent the money YET.

We haven't and should not be blowing it all in one window just to spend it.

Would you not rather the money was spent on the right player, for the right fee regardless of when that occurs?

This same negativity was rife at the end of January and all of those that were screaming we had been let down were left to eat humble pie as it turned out to be two of the clubs best signings in recent times, we have had an awesome window so far and it's not over yet, whoever we bring in let's trust AC, FP and DL.

I think some of the negativity gained traction yesterday upon hearing about the Chelsea deal for Gvardiol. In some peoples mind it highlighted our inability to compete and therefore negativity and, as per, finger pointing at our owners.

This thread seems to be connected to twitter, judging by the wrist slitting, moaning and name calling.
Perhaps some will never be happy with our transfer dealings but, in my mind, we have covered almost all the places needed seeing addressing "where it was possible to".
Yes we are still light in a couple of positions but, as Conte himself has said, it won't all be done in one window.
Let's see how much we have improved by the time of the next window and reserve the scathing attacks on club and persons until then.
People are frantically calling out a, b or c but the only one I'm worried about is A. Conte. As long as he's content with our endeavours then so am I.

This thread does not give a fuck what sort of transfer window we've had. It does not give a flying shit, nor a snake punching, ballistic, polka dancing fuck what you think about what sort of transfer window you think we've had when it ISN'T EVEN OVER YET. But it's more than that.

If there's ITK (and there probably will be) we don't want people wading through virtual reams of this drivel to find it. When the window does close, we'll have a post mortem thread just like always where you can offer up your onions on what sort of window it's been. At least then you'll be doing it from a position of knowing what business we've done.

So stop touching yourselves 'down there'. I don't care how nice it feels, stop it, before you end up wearing glasses with lenses the thickness of milk bottle bottoms and your socks take on a life of their own. If that hasn't happened to most of you already.

I want a short trip to the inside of A&C's mind, just for a few minutes! Just to see if it's all masturbating dwarves and self harming unicorns.

I have this feeling that he just doesn’t know who we are actually looking for. His tweets for Dan James are very similar to the Amrabat ones.
Yeah, @Trix said ignore the media as we are talking to lots of players so even the big name media people won’t really know what is going on
