We want £70 mill for Dele
No takers

Not Surprising no takers Southgate currently wont pick him for free his standing in the game has fallen a long way in the last couple of years. I think in a normal window people would take that gamble on him fulfilling his potential but with funds at a lot of clubs supposedly limited its a big gamble for anyone to pay that for a declining player.

To be fair, if Grealish is an £80m player, Pepe goes for £72m and nobody was getting Zaha for less than £60+ last year, then Dele is a fucking snip at that price to the right club/manager (although don't ask me what club/manager that is, probably one where he can be indulged a little bit, be the centre of everything & in a team used to winning every game).

Yeah but there was an 'internal inquest' as to why Pepe was £72m. Climate has changed.

'Dele' is/was a £100m+ player, the current Kung-Fu Mustache version is arguably, as Mourinho would put it, Dele's Brother, not Dele :ROFLMAO:

Considering his age and the fact that he counts as homegrown I'd say between 60-70m is reasonable. But that's for the PL. I can't see anyone outside the PL valuing Dele at sums even close to that. Couple that with the fact that there are only a handful of clubs outside the PL that pay those kinds of figures anyway.

When you see similar profile players (similar in the eyes of our management anyway) like Kai Havertz who have gone for fees this window that can rise to over £70M, you can see where the £70M valuation comes from for an asset like Dele.

Come on. Havertz was the heartbeat for Leverkusen for years. Dele Alli two years ago would have justified that sum. When everybody is fit here he hardly gets into the team and will probably battle it out with Sissoko, Bergy, Lucas and Lamela to even be on the bench. He has done nothing to justify that money at all the last two years.
I doubt there would be (in the Corona market) lots of serious interests at half that price.

I am okay with him staying, will be interesting how he reacts to the new competition by Bale and hopefully a new #9. Can't see him being happy playing the second fiddle though.

At least there is ITK important enough that it should not end up on Twitter. Better than tumbleweed or "nothing to see here....move on".

We need him to become motivated to improve. We need him to adapt to a no.8 role, which could unlock his potential. As such his passes and flicks could be a healthy backup for Ndombele.

He is also a good second striker option in a 442, which might occur at some point in the year.

One more year. He's done less recently than his stellar turn early on, but nothing to merit the contemptuous dismissal of his talent that some have adopted on here. Give him a year to prove himself. This is not the right time to let him go. Just as he's maturing.

Huh? Is this in reference to no iGi? He wasn't saying he has ITK and is not sharing it, he was saying that he's not going to post if he does have stuff?

Unless I'm wide of the mark.

Yeah that's how I read it.

I doubt he'd swing by just to say he's heard something but it's a secret

I'm in a strange coffee induced glass-half full kinda mood and choose to interpret it as he has a lorry load of juicy stuff that he can't post. My mood will not be blighted by sorry naysayers.

I actually think £70m whilst high is probably not too far off. I think that's what we'd quote as the price but would accept £62-65m which I reckon is fair value.

Remember, this is a player who once was looking like the jewel in the English crown. Under a different coach who might use him differently he could come good. More importantly he is of an age where he has time to do so.

The ITK guys on here should change their usernames to ones which are completely confusing out of context (e.g. on Twitter).
For example, you could choose ones such as "Twitter", "Somebody", "A random poster".

Or, a subtle one like "Lyall Thomas".

Business doesn't usually work with we won't budge. If we want to sell and someone wants to buy then a negotiation can be made. Unless everyone is too far apart of course

When you look at Villa wanting a similar fee for Grealish (one year older) and Leicester for Maddison (few months difference in age) then it's easy to see why we would value Dele at a similar fee, if not higher. Dele is still only 24 years old albeit having a poor run of form these last 18 months, his value doesn't just drop drastically. He is still one of Englands most talented players, has a wealth of big game experience and I'm confident if we keep him he will return back to his usual self. I wouldn't be in any panic to sell for a cut price.

In such a depressed market, I can't see us getting more than £45m-50m for him. Nobody has the money and all the buying clubs are looking to screw the sellers as much as possible.
Even the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid are having to sell before they can buy.

The other issue is is that aren't being asked to sell him. This isn't Sancho or Havertz where a club has come and said "name your price" and then tried to knock us down. This is a shop front display price tag to try and entice bids, but again, you can't start too low there.
