"There isn't any Tottenham representative here, and nothing is scheduled," he told Globo Esporte.
"The ones that have been coming here are agents. Leandro Damiao was top scorer in the Olympics. I have nothing scheduled with Tottenham.
"Internacional want to keep Leandro Damiao. He'll leave only if there is an extraordinary offer."

is it just me or does anyone else feel that AVB and his squad culling seems to indicate a streak of ruthlessness and lack of sentimentality about him? Trim the fat, do away with what we don't need now in the present squad, and bring in the team for the Now.

Think he learned the hard way at Chelsea that experienced players who aren't in his plans and aren't getting a game can be a poisonous influence on the whole dressing room. Not putting Daws in the same bracket as JT but the principle is a sensible one.

The quotes yesterday from Llorente's "agent" weren't actually from his agent. It was posted a fair few times in various threads, but with the speed of posts yesterday, it's not surprising it got missed by people. Ballague is probably a lot better informed on it, and as has been said, he says it's between us and Juve, so let's wait and see.

As of yet though it's to ITK and neither are reports from Sky Sports on Leandro...

I think they have enough strikers just now not to be after him, unless they are doing the same as Man City and having a squad of strikers?

I disagree, I think Giroud is Arsenals only striker at the moment and they could well be looking at another central man to replace RVP. Girvinho, Podolski, Walcott, Corzola, Ox are all wide forwards only Giroud, Cham and the Korean chap play down the middle and I expect the two of them to go, plus Walcott will be off next summer so if a player like Llorente is available at a knockdown price (which we believe he is) then I expect Wenger to be very interested.

Good morning all. Great news about Bassong and Adebayor. As much as I feel for Dawson and also think he is a quality player, the time is right for him to be sold and £7.5m rising to £10m (approx) epitomises Daniel Levy's sheer ingenuity in brinksmanship and deal brokering.

I'm thrilled we seem to be progressing talks with Leandro. I just hope that we bring in a goalscoring winger (for the right side) and a creative midfielder.

Lloris would be a plus. I have to say as a side though, as much as I feel Friedel is solid, something is narking me about Ba's goal. Is it me, or should a goalkeeper be able to anticipate the likelihood of a curler? And when anticipated, be able to at least get fingers to it? I mean Walker was blocking the hard shot to the near post, so what else was left?

Hmmm... Could well be something we've asked Internacional (being a club in partnership) to deny. I hope so. But if those quotes are true, then it means we are trying all out for Llorente.

I think he has signed Giroud as first choice though doubt he would bring in a player who will want to play every game ahead of him... That is the same reason I don't think we will be trying to sign Llorente now. I think the Ade signing confirmed we will be going for a younger striker that is happy to rotate for a while. My money is on Leandro to get blooded slowly and if Ade goes to ACN then he will get a lot more games in the New year which will tie in nicely...

Didn't ryantegan say JJ told him that our reps were in Brazil? So could be we've asked them to be quiet about it all..

No really ITK related but since we're being linked with wingers, does anyone know what happened to that Giuliano kid that was really promising a few years back in Internatcional?

So we're pushing for Damaio with representatives in brazil and we're also waiting for Llorente decision today.

How about we sign both and sell Defoe!

Leaving us with Ade, Llorente, Damaio.

Very optimistic but I'd be straight down to the bookies to place a monkey on us to win the title :)

Friedel is still a good keeper and those shots are difficult as he'll be moving a little bit across as well, but he's hardly getting younger and his reach is a long way from top notch these days unfortunately. But it would take a top keeper - and Lloris is - to replace him.

Btw, 5 million and 80k/week for a top, proven Premiership striker that we also know fits in the team is a sensational piece of business, even if we didn't have him for the Newcastle game. With that kinda of deal and plenty of outgoings we should be able to gamble a little bit on another striker or a wide forward...

Keeping quiet and categorically denying it are two different things :)

He's at Dnipro in Ukraine with Kalanic (Ex Blackburn). 4 goals in 6 games so far this season

He played Pod down the middle on Saturday. They still have Bender as well.

considering that they've got Podolski and Giroud (and chamakh still on their books), probably not. Plus they will be looking to find a replacement for Song...which I guess is their priority
Plus they have the best player in the world......Nicklas Bendtner

We need people to get themselves out and about and do some good old fashioned whoring for ITK. So off you go my little ITKlings, off to FTL, COYS, SO and wherever, find ITK and bring it home.

I have a feeling that Thudd and Jenas will be gone this window too, but, that niggling prick of a midfielder, Bentley, will still be here!
