Purely because so many fans have got the hump with him, people think we are gonna bench or sell Adebayor.

I still think he's top class and an asset to the team, I suspect the coach does too. If Villa comes in, a front three of Villa-Ade-Bale has great balance & potential.

Counting your chickens there sunshine.

Why quote the one talking about Ade then? why not say the same to people saying let Defoe go? we dont have anyone to replace him yet so would be left with 1 ;)

More than happy with that mate, play one of the youngsters instead of Defoe or just Bale as the striker. Would be as happy to see the back of Defoe as I would Kyle Naughton.

So replace Defoe with a youth? that hasnt shown anything in the EPL to give any hint they can make it? This would just be making us weaker. Only way Defoe and/or Ade will go is if we bring in a new stiker or two.

Such unwarranted superlatives for someone who delivers so little.

And the myth that somehow Huddlestone will turn to Pirlo because the tempo is slightly slower is also hugely exaggerated as displayed in the Europa League this season - he just doesn't have the quickness of mind or of feet to ever command a game from the middle of the park nor dictate the tempo.

Don't have a preference where he goes so long as someone actually comes in and takes him.

Thud started last season very late after a long lay off due to injury. Like most players returning from injury he took a long time to get back to anything like he used to. He is IMHO one of the best passers of the ball in the premiership. I do agree that for his size he should be harder to get around that he is. If he were a bit more tenacious he would get more starts. That said unless he is closed down quickly whilst he is in possession of the ball he can split any defence in two and in Italy I think he will do very well.

Such bollocks.

Such an unbelievably lazy cliche. One of the whole reasons Serie A has come back to fruition again is they have upped the tempo and no longer play like the 'typical' Italian sides of years gone by.

And yet at 34 Pirlo is still starring, it's not about pace but speed of vision and reaction to hit the passes quickly, accurately and with the right weight. The ball can move quicker than a player but you need two things a player who can see and play the pass well and players prepared to make the runs and find the space to receive the ball

Spanish and italian leagues dead then. Monaco can't play in the french league (next year). Dutch and french teams being investigated on government subsidy.

Football is fucked.
