This is where we see how far this cultural shift has changed the club. We’ve always been held hostage to some degree by how many of our unwanted players we could reasonably shift. I’m assuming the selling aspect of our transfer practice falls mostly at Levy’s door. It’s vital we shift players soon given we’re still in the market for at least one or two more players

Agree but if a deal was there for Zaniolo for example I think we still pull the trigger. Lo Celsom Reg and Winks will go its just a matter of when

I think we have been told levy obviously has to sign off on all deals, however fab I would imagine is the one who has to scout and set up the deal then take it to Danny.

I agree with everything else and the point remains valid personally believe the penny has finally dropped with the money men and they are fully on board the conte train!

Has there been any evidence that Levy would lead sales rather than Paratici or is that assumption based on the fact anything negative is blamed on DL, whilst FP gets hyped up?!

I'm encouraged to hear that our priority now switches to selling players. I'd be prepared for us to take a bit of a hit on this. It's not just financials, but paring down the squad only to those who have a role. Even players on loan (not the Scarlett/Parrott type of loan) weigh on the club.

This is where it’s brilliant that we now have a very clear plan and have made it abundantly clear to players who aren’t in the managers plans that they and their agent need to find a new club asap.

It is also important that with Paratici we will be much more open to selling at a more discounted or cut price as he will value the speed of deals due to the impact of having the squad Conte wants quickly vs holding out for every penny until the last day and then ending up stuck with some of them, this is a big culture shift and it’s what big clubs do. Of course we will try to still get the best deals we can and negotiate sufficiently but there is no more of the Levy antics protecting the asset trying to squeeze as much value as possible when the player is totally not in the managers plans, of course if we were entertaining a big for a player we don’t want to sell but know that ultimately we might need to give in then yes in that case we bed in for the long haul to maximise price but for the likes of Lo Celso, Winks, Ndombele, Rodon etc etc it should be a case of just finding reasonable offers as quickly as possible and accepting those so we can continue to add 2-3 more to the squad.

In a window where we have signed 6 first team players before selling those on the outside of the squad, it actually beggers belief that people could be grumpy about the way the club has structured its business thus far.

Haven't we already been shown that it's changing last year though?

Whether they get loaned out or sold for less than we would ideally want, the players that are not in Conte's plans will be gone and that is the biggest shift in club culture and the greatest sign that we are finally backing a manager 100 percent

ah, sell before we buy, I've missed you mate.

Hopefully we've done enough already to make a fast start, and to stay in the CL places all season.

Not that bothered about Zaniolo anyway.

Tbf it makes sense. 6 new first team players with only one first team exit it’s understandable that we’d need to trim some fat before going for anyone else. Always expected the focus to be on outs after Spence.

It was always going to be a difficult task to get the squad perfectly balance in two windows but I feel we are almost there. If we can shift 3/4 now before the end of the window then I'd be happy. I think January will be a busy window due to the WC this year.

It's just refreshing that we got our main business done early on and have strengthened the squad. We will always need another player, all clubs will always be looking to improve the squad.

This is a lot easier to accept with after six signings compared to being the default stance at the start of the window!
Does suggest our concluding business of an attacking midfielder/forward and quite possibly another CB will be towards the end of August as opposed to the start of the month.

And we should be willing to shift players with losses... no one is going to pay the prices we paid for N'Dombele, Lo Celso etc... of course we shouldn't give them away, but we have to accept that they have dropped in value.

I hope we will get some ITK on outgoings soon :)
