Conte wants 3 more In and big players not Spence like future signings

the interest in zaniolo is real and he’s ahead of maddison in the pecking order but it will be one of those two not both And as I’ve said all summer he wants another big name center half in

a lot depends on shifting the 4 who stayed behind on the Korea trip gio looks first to go , winks we have offers in the 15 range when someone goes to 20-25 he will go , reg a couple of Spanish teams sniffing but nothing firm yet , Tanguy we have zero interest In as yet

we have interest in Jude Bellingham But will be a massive deal in 80-90 million range , the 4 will have to go with decent fees for all plus tanganga etc To fund it
Great update, no chance Bellingham.

Interesting if conte wants 3 more, we know 2 of those are CB and AM, I wonder which position the 3rd would be if we won’t be going for zaniolo and Maddison I wonder if that is due to budget or because conte doesn’t want to sign and winger and a CAM/n.o10 .

3 more and we’d be all set to challenge for everything or at least get close imo. But I think it’ll be max 2 more as we won’t be able to shift all the the ones we want to.

Yeah I'm guessing the 3 more is Udogie, Zaniolo and a centre back. Could see zaniolo and udogie getting done next week and then the CB right at the end once we've sold our deadwood.

The ITK said "3 more In and big players not Spence like future signings"

Wouldn't Udogie be considered a future type? Unless I'm misreading the situation, I thought he was suggested as a future Perisic replacement.

Please don’t play “guess the 3” as it’ll mean A&C will lock the thread while he bans you and tidies up all of the inane ramblings.

Well if Bellingham is an example then a CM, although I’m not sure we really need another. But I guess if he could find someone like Barella we would go for him. Would explain why Zaniolo is most favoured as he is different to Paqueta/Maddison in that he’s more of a runner then a passer and is more adapted to playing RW.

I’d be really frustrated if we held on to Winks because an offer fell short by about 5 million. We’re constantly hearing, with good reason, the market value of any player is what clubs are prepared to pay for them. If Winks is only getting offers of around 15 million, then that’s probably what he’s worth.

The idea we hold on to him expecting a better offer the next window is flawed. He’s not going to feature in Conte’s plans at all, so his value will only diminish and by keeping him, we add another obstacle to us signing other players Conte wants.
Agreed mate... Winks also needs to be playing, for his own wellbeing as well... He's been a loyal servant for our club, and I wish him well.

Who said anything about holding onto him til the next window?
The info said there is interest around 15m and we will sell at 20-25m.

If a club is offering 15m there’s a very good chance they’ll up their offer as this window progresses. And if there are multiple clubs interested this will only up the price. We’d be silly to sell at the first offer.

Udogie update:

Tottenham closing in on £21m Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie

The 19-year-old could be loaned back to Italy but would be Spurs' seventh signing of the summer

Tottenham Hotspur are close to agreeing a deal to sign Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie.

The highly-rated 19-year-old is expected to cost around £21 million with the Serie A club requesting to take him back on loan for the season.

Udogie has been tipped for a call-up to the senior Italy squad next month, having already played for the Under-21s, and would be Tottenham’s seventh signing this summer.

Sources in Italy have suggested that an agreement has been reached and that the transfer is close to being completed.

If he arrives he will follow Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Djed Spence, Clement Lenglet and Fraser Forster as Spurs back manager Antonio Conte.

Although Spurs have told Sergio Reguilon he can leave this summer, and hope to move the Spaniard on, the arrival of Perisic means the 33-year-old Croatian will be first-choice at left wing-back. The club also have Ryan Sessegnon which means they may be prepared to allow Udogie to return to Udinese where he made his breakthrough season in the last campaign having joined from Hellas Verona.

In 35 league appearances last season Udogie scored five goals and provided three assists and is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Italian football. Spurs reason that signing him now, even if it means loaning him back, will secure a star of the future for a reasonable fee.

Spurs kick off their season on Saturday at home to Southampton – when they will be without the suspended Richarlison and with Bissouma a doubt having suffered a hamstring problem - with a growing sense of excitement that they might contest for silverware this season and could challenge Manchester City and Liverpool’s dominance at the top of the Premier League.

Signing Udogie might not be the end of Spurs’ spending with links to Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo. Conte dropped Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks from his squad at the start of season.

The ITK states ‘when someone goes to 20-25 ‘ we’ll sell Winks. That’s my point. If we don’t get an offer for 20+, we won’t, based on the ITK, sell him. If it didn’t say that, I wouldn’t have posted my concerns about this approach

We grab Bissouma, PEH and Bentancur all massive upgrades on Winks but expect someone to stump up for similar price to what we paid for Bissouma and way more than the others. Something amiss with our valuation model.

not sure how you compare. Winks carries the Home Grown tax and has a longish contract. He is also a proven premiership player, with international and CL experience. He’s a decent baller that just hasn’t cut it.

don’t get hung up about the price. The club set it because that’s what they think he’s worth, as the deadline approaches either the buying clubs get desperate or we do. If we have offers already that implies there is demand for him. It’s a game of who blinks first.
Just enjoy the ride. Last time we saw anything like this was when we sold Bale and brought in the Mediocre Seven

ITK has been quite clear that we will sell, absolutely. If a fee isn't received, we'll fallback to 'Loan with obligation'.
