According to Guillem Balague on SSN we have:

Bid £38.5m for Aguero - rejected.
Bid for Rossi
Bid for Llorente
Bid for Negredo

Seems like Levy is wandering around Spain with a 'big bag of money' as Balague put it, desperately trying to buy a striker.

This is just burying bad news, PR stunt in reality

Today we suffer our most depressing/embarrassing defeat in years, tonight we are linked with world superstars, too convenient

The club must have leaked this stuff to stop fans talking about how bad Levy/Harry are and talk about galacticos, then tomorrow night when we have signed no one Levy will still look a gallant hero for trying (if he ever tried)

This stuff takes the pressure off Harry/Levy after the earlier disgrace

As much as I have my own suspicions, I seriously think if it was a PR Stunt, it could just as easily backfire and end up a massive FAIL in the press after being rejected on bids made for 4 + players. Tuesday morning would be a massive FAIL!

I don't think Phil Neville would be too bad. We need a defender as well as a striker, our players looked knackered and mentally drained. Well perhaps just writing mental in staid of mentally drained would of sufficed.

Essentially our chairman and club secretary are bidding for every top striker in La Liga at once...and by bidding I mean through £30million+ bids at everyone. Rossi, Llorente, Aguero and Negredo. Oh and a Diego Milito rumour is circulating (although very little basis for it!)

Maybe...but do you not feel its slightly like when Newcastle trying to sign Rooney back in the day. It was never going to happen but it looks good with the fans.

Suarez and Forlan i could have imagined being in our grasp because of age or the league they were coming from. But Aguero...wtf.

Mpickard, as a fellow Bristol dweller, I feel inclined to emphasise the importance of expecting the most miserably disappointing day of transfer developments you can possibly imagine. Let's hope it will turn out well....but it probably won't.
