The Rio rumours are a bloody joke!
I very much doubt united are going to let him go, and he will be thier best defender again next season, and the people here will still be saying 'bullet dodged' as we watch him lift various silverware with united.....

If we are letting Nelson go, and potentially Gallas then an experienced defender would be alot better as cover than, say Caulker, who would gain very little from playing the odd game here and there rather than being on loan.

Signing an experienced player brings alot to the team, but quite a few on here refuse to recognise that and are just using it as a stick to beat Harry with. (it still baffles me when people say Harry should go. I think it must be the same people who just love the volume of signings we make in the following years of transition as we chop and change our managers again and again from Dan's tactical genius' Ramos/AVB to the great world beaters Brendan Rogers/Paul Lambert)

Surely Jan has to sign while he's in England with the Belgium squad? Be it before or after the game.

Surely he should've fucking signed already, but in true Spurs style we're dragging this out as long a feasibly possible.

It amazes me how we drag these deals for weeks or months yet somehow we manage to get 4 or 5 deals sorted (outgoing and ingoing) on the last day of every window....

Yep you're right. Knowing, as we obviously do, every detail of the negotiations it really is unbelieveable that we haven't made this transfer yet. Bloody Levy.

Thinking out loud now - with recent itk re-harry and the bit about Brendan rogers meeting the club.
Could things now accelerate with stories this morning (and money) saying BR is heading to Liverpool. If Daniel has identified him as the next spurs manager he may have to act or risk him joining a rival club?

Been lurking here for years thought it was about time i done my first post.. Didnt Verts say the other day (think when Levy was in Holland) i want to join Spurs but things will go quiet for a week or so (or did I dream that)? If that was the case then surely after the Belgium game the OS will announce our lovely new signing.. Oh by the way I'm an optimistic type but generally left disappointed by our transfers especially January's!!
