Good sign if he's openly saying Welbeck now. He's usually cagey about dropping names. We must stand a chance then.

DW would be a good buy for Pooch to work his magic on. For me to make us complete I would like some pace just to give us an alternative...a young Sterling type charterer but with better passing capability. I know what I want but not who.

My money is on Soldado being the 1 out of the door. 1 less foreign player

Sterling types don't come along v often. Pace, skill, eye for a pass, great finishing long and short , strength on the ball the guy really has everything especially at such a young age. So the chances of us finding another one are slim

Seems pretty clear we've hit a brick wall over MS which can only be knocked down by bunging a Townsend at it. Stambouli looks quite obviously the cheaper alternative so I think we can put MS to bed.

Not fussed with the Welbeck ITK but a loan to cover a position until Poch can get exactly who he wants seems like a decent enough compromise.

Only loose end seems to be the link to another Argentinian. Tevez? Would be more than happy with our window if that is the case.

DW is being bought to compete for the LWF position. Not as a striker.
