ooh, I hope its Kagawa.

Used to the pressing style from his time at Dortmund.
I always want to mention Kagawa on here but with no media links, I can't. If we could get him to the price mooted for a Dortmund return (~8 million quid) it would be amazing. A great buy like him or Lavezzi or Tevez would round off the window superbly, but I've already been so impressed with our window so far.

The Goat's heard Welbeck isn't the only Utd player we're after. We were given a name but asked not to post it as it's still "sensitive" and would point right back at our source so we won't be confirming/denying anything this time.
Hernandez perhaps. Offers have been accepted already by Utd for him this week.

Why?

DW is being bought to compete for the LWF position. Not as a striker.

He is a striker, I don't agree with all these strikers now being wide men, it isn't their game! Let wingers stay wide and forwards stay up top.

Rooney is a good reason for this, put him wide and England had no cover on the left, I don't even agree with him behind the striker, he isn't smart enough or mobile enough IMO.

Rant over!

Wonder who else we would be looking at from United, I would rather go for blint at the reported 14 million than make room for him at united.

Re: the Goat's info on Welbeck (and another Utd player) and JJ's tweet that we are in for Welbeck before the end of the window - I really hope that our interest in Welbeck doesn't prove a barrier to going for Jay Rodriguez, as I think JR is a much better player. But seeing as Welbeck and Rodriguez would occupy the same position in our squad (LWF, and cover for CF), I can't quite see how the latest ITK leaves us any room at all to be interested in Rodriguez. All of which makes me a saaaad panda.

If ITK's are saying dw, I can't see us keeping Kane ade and soldado, one will be heading out the door in one way or another IMO.

Wellbeck will play on the left - competing with Chadli. Lennon or Townsend more at risk than one of our CFs IMO.

Main candidates based on what we need have to be Kagawa, Hernandes, Young. Has Zaha gone to Palace?
Kagawa would be an interesting signing. He went from one of the best players in Germany to a complete failure at Utd, though did show glimpse of the ability he has.

Kagawa in to replace Holtby with a minimal net spend could be very good business.

Blimmin 'eck... Another united player?
Unless its DiMaria wanting straight out or RvP I'm not sure whom else I would be interested in. o_O

EDIT: Kagawa, hmmm... Not been overly impressed with him at United, but was good for Dortmund

Jay Rodriguez was a striker until Poch played him as a wide forward last season and he scored 15 goals from that position.

Welbeck could do that for us.

I still feel Kagawa is a quality player and if we do get him i'll be very pleased, some of the stuff he did at Dortmund was filthy good.
