When JJ has said that both Levy and Lewis's hands are tied, could this be possibly in relation to the playing staff and what impact it would do on our star players potentially wanting out without Harry at the helm and any recruitments as well?

Does JJs comment mean we are once again waiting to offload before we buy?

and quickly meaning we have someone tied up but we just need an out going...?

makes sense, but i can only see it it ending in disaster once again.

I can't see it tbh. Of the 7-8 expendable players we have, Corluka and Bassong are probably the most valuable and Defoe and Bentley are probably on the highest salaries.

We need to get rid of them, but there's not going to be a huge wad of cash freed up by doing so.

Hopefully those involved know that you can't sell deadwood for the price of Mahogany.

This is all too familiar. Still no Verts announcement yet either? Hmmmmmn...

Adie's nothing to worry about anyway, I heard from my source that he's signed a precontract with Glory Glory or FTL...

...see ya!

Any manager who achieved top 4 with what we spent last season deserves a new contract. Regardless of the position we was in.

If Levy moved the goalposts on what success was he should have backed Redknapp in the Jan transfer window instead of signing free transfers.

I fully believe if we brought in Jan we would have finished 3rd easily. We lost key players and form. But it can't all be blamed on Redknapp.

Maybe cos he was whoring himself to the FA and everyone thought he was sodding of to England.

Indeed, or those wanting to come in to the club.

EDIT: which you said anyways. Ignore me but I agree.

I doubt it. None of our key players are really Redknapp men per se. Parker possibly, but he seems like a smart enough bloke.

Some might grumble that things might not be as fun/casual under the next coach, but when they see how much training and tactics can actually improve them they'll soon become converts.

Why do we owe Redknapp loyalty when he would have left us if the right offer came along for him?! Him, him, him!

We will actually have some tactics?! Improvement number 1.

Next thing you'll be saying we'll be training set pieces and have some set play plans. Fucking steady on!

Whilst I agree that it all can't have been Harry's fault, the January transfer window showed that for whatever reason the current setup isn't allowing us to bring in the key players when we need to.

Now that may be because Harry likes buying old players (personally I think this is a lazy bit of rubbish from the Dan Ashcrofts of this world) or because Levy isn't prepared to trust Harry with the money that we clearly do have.

Either way I think Harry going sorts out the problems. I think performance wise it would be very harsh to sack him, but if the relationship with Levy isn't good then he shouldn't be our manager.

I know for a fact that both Harry and Jamie fairly recently (don't know when exactly) played golf with Roman and Andriy Shevchenko at Queenwood Golf Club. I know this as I have a friend who works as a golf pro there. For those who don't know Queenwood it is a VERY exclusive club. It costs over 150K to join. This however does not mean anything in particular about the possibility of H joining Chelsea. Just that they have met.

So we would rather Harry resigned than sack him. I suppose this looks better for the club PR wise.

England is the biggest job in English football, regardless of your feelings towards the national team or international football, fact is to many many people it's the single biggest job and be pinnacle of any English managers career. Hodgson, Pardrew and Redknapp all said he same thing.

When England make the quarter finals in 2 weeks time you watch the whole nation get behind the team.

We should all be proud of manager was linked with the job, it shows what fantastic work he has done here.

You cannot really blame Redknapo for wanting that job. It's not like he wanted the Arsenal Job and he already said before he wouldn't leave for Chelsea as he couldn't do that to the Spurs fans.

I don't really see what he has done wrong, the only issue was The FA pissing about, but our players let us down big time, they all stopped performing. So the blame cannot souly be Harry's fault.

We was all begging Levy to give Harry a new deal to try and stop him going to England now we want rid? Behave.

Harry didn't get England job, but he did get Spurs 4th. That to me is progress from last season. He deserves a new deal.

A lot of time has passed since then and in that time Harry let something distract him from the job he was contracted to do. Even you can't ignore that surely?

Whichever way you look at it, Harry's position isn't as strong now as it was back then and at least part of that is his fault. If he's now dicking about over contract negotiations then he's playing a dangerous game and as I said, if Levy doesn't trust him then he shouldn't be manager.

In fact Dan, I seem to recall you firmly up Juande 'The Tactician' Ramos's sphincter and look how that worked out.

Mind you, we were in great shape before Harry came in, it was all rosey, it wasn't a hard task to transform that team into CL qualifiers in 2 seasons on a budget dwarfed by clubs around us.

No it was easy, few kickabouts for training, sign lots of 'old' players just cos they're a great bunch of lads. Playing great stuff just comes natural to us, with borrowed players, free transfers and last minute bargains.

It's utterly horrific he wants a new longer deal. Shame on him for that one point, boo hiss.

Sigh.

The only issue is we went from having a 10 point lead in 3rd place to just about scraping 4th and then missing out on Champions League football anyway.

THAT is the only issue that matters. Whether you're a fan, like us, or whether you're the businessmen who run our club.

Though I guess, in all innocence, it takes two to dick about?

Could be that H does not want to work with a Dof... Seems that Levy has been pushing to bring one in.
