Regarding Ben ITK - you don't do 2 typos in a single word. I certainly think thats intentional....

This is Ben we're talking about. To be fair, it's hard to type with one arm wrapped around a branch...

Chadli and Townsend were literally the only two starters who looked to make anything happen. They were both pretty inconsistent, but they both had flashes of showing some creativity and looking dangerous going forward.

I don't think townsend was inconsistent tbh. Thought he did pretty bloody well.
Chadli was good in the first half, faded ib the second but imo he was cut off. Whether Arsenal did that intentionally or Rose was just poor at supplying him the ball is debatable.

I'd love us to have an attempt at getting shaw today, the kid is going to be awesome. IMO the most impressive British talent to emerge since Rooney and Bale.

Before fans turn on them? Did you see matchthread yesterday :-( apparently Chadli is rubbish, Paulinho new Jenas and Dembele always been not good enough. I wonder if some if these 'fans' remember the 90's or started 'supporting' when we got 4th..
I was in a match day thread on here once......I've never read such tripe in my life, people just seem to turn into morons as they enter.

I think it`s quite weird when people are saying we havn`t spent, because all the money used on players are from sales, a balanced budget. So, when you use your salary you don`t spend money? Is it only when you spend your savings or use your credit card you actually are spending money?

We need a LB and probably also a playmaker. Rumours are saying that Coentrao will come on loan. That`s good. Then we can spend money on a playmaker if possible. Not because balanced budgets are wrong, but because we actually need a playmaker and can afford it..

Off the top of my head we're in profit at the moment. With the rumours JL loan, increase in TV money I see no reason why we can't go spend another £40-50 million if we deem it necessary.

I was thinking last night about who the £45m man could be. The only player I could think of who is worth that AND would make me jaw drop AND plays for a team that aren't bigger than Spurs (better arguably, but not bigger) AND is the sort of thing Levy would love to do to stick it to everyone who thought he was off the market, is Lewandowski!

Which I hope it isn't because I can't see it happening but there you go.
Now that would really be a jaw dropping deal

On page 5 already thanks to people thinking it was a cryptic.

Can we add in the updates if it is a cryptic or not just to stop pointless answers?

Why do people think we'd sign someone who would essentially replace Soldado? Benzema and Lewandowski are both out and out strikers, as is Soldado. They're brilliant, yes but make no sense at all.

Someone able to play behind and on the side does. I'm probably getting stupidly excited by the rumoured 45m price tag, but Suarez is the one who fits that bill - especially if we want them to be able to operate as a striker as well if needed. Mata, Ozil, Draxler, etc all very good but more unlikely for various reasons.

Possibly the analogy is more that we havent spent our salary or savings at all, but have spent the cash in hand we made doing a bit of work at the weekend.
