Preparation prevents piss poor performance!
I don't get the negativity with the window as a whole (I understand it re: today).

We had what was widely regarded as being the best first XI in the league last season. We've sold one of those players for £50m and bought a much younger and arguably better player in in his place for less than half the price. We've sold Wimmer for £18m and brought in a player who is going to be one of the best centrebacks in Europe (if not *the* best). He's going to allow us to have a dedicated back 3 with Dier/Wanyama playing further forward (where Dier's better). We did all of that while saving £3m.

Further forward is the disappointing bit but Llorente is decent and wanted by Poch, he'll be a more reliable direct backup to Kane than we've had in the last few years. We've improved last season's squad, arguably not by enough, but it's improved. Plus we've got Danny coming back and Lamela flirting with the idea of playing for us again.

So not a roaring success but certainly not a failure.

Only time will tell if the window was good or bad, i am still not sure to be honest, but weird all the positive ITK regarding what we were attempting to do and for all that to transpire to Llorente?
what is done is done. Without alli im dreading the real madrid and Dortmund games. I was already tbf

You can't sort your whole team out in one window...

It's the same fucking moaning every window yet we continue to progress!

The same moaning bastards will be waxing lyrical over Sanchez and Aurier in a couple of months.

We have never looked so strong period.

Get a grip this isn't fantasy football.

#biggerpicture

No you can't but you can identify the parts of the team that need to be improved ---- like breaking down 10 men behind the ball Burnley or scoring in the CL, not improving what what already the strongest part of the team with the best defensive record in the league last year....

Wonder if the 'woe is me ' crowd are the same lot as last year?
'Can see Lloris being off next summer after that balls up from Levy...'
'Poch'll be gone next summer.. Levy just won't back any of our managers properly...'
'We'll struggle to make top 6 let alone top 4...'
Were all common complaints this time last year too...
This team came 2nd last year and has been the best side over the last 2 years.
Excellent window. Genuine backup for Harry. Upgrade on Walker. Strengthen what was just about the best defence last year.
Acting like spoilt brats some people...
I guess it is the way you look at it. Has Walker really been upgraded? Is Llorente really a "genuine backup" to Harry or maybe a slightly better option than an awful Jenson who we couldn't get rid of? As for CB, yes probably better cover but still cover, but I think we would all agree it was not an area of main concern for us. So I appreciate this is your view of the window. But not the majority on the site.

Im satisfied with this window. Getting some really good players in and still stocking in cash.

In january or next summer when any team bids on Bale we are gonna be able to match that.

Really not sure what all you moaners are moaning about?

Still no dynamic pace in attack.

Best defense in the league, so we went and bought all the defenders and a 3rd keeper to boot.

Unbelievable really, was that really the priority for Poch?

I like the sanchez, aurier and llorente purchase but as others have said simply made us a very little bit stronger I'm not sure that will be enough this year.

Gomes would have made it a very good window with a decent worldie wing purchase making it unbelievable.

On the whole a strong window. Only losing Walker of the key players was excellent work really.

Sanchez and Aurier on paper are exceptional signings for a club like us. Llorente gives us an experienced back up and a genuine plan B. Barkley complicated by 2 injuries.

Frustration comes from the feeling that we've missed an opportunity to press on, with a quality AM and WF.

That we haven't really bolstered our squad enough? Sissoko has been coming on of late unless you haven't noticed.
