Absolutely true. My only caveat to that is that the information blackout at the club appears to have kicked in a couple of days ago so there's the possibility that they're in the final stages of an interesting move.

Yeah in theory there’s still plenty of time for things to happen, but considering we’d need to do medicals, paper work etc etc I just don’t believe the press wouldn’t have even of got a slight hint of our interest in said player by now. Unless of course that player is Gelson I honestly can’t set anything. The saying “this isn’t my first rodeo” sort of rings true at this moment for us fans I feel.

But what do I know, maybe Paratici is dressed up in a maid costume in some seedy hotel in Europe serving cappuccinos to a particularly stubborn owner in the faint hope that it will convince him to sell some up to now overpriced megastar.

During the day was fun but as 11pm approached and the ITK started to drip through about nothing doing, it was unpleasant to say the least!

I think we all need to set our expectations accordingly for there to be nothing further happening with us for this window.

Hopefully come January we will be active as I think we can all agree that we still have needs in this squad that need addressing.

This seems to be the quietest deadline day ever. I don't know if that's because I've not got SSN on or whether there's not much fanfare generally. I know Romano is going frantically at Twitter but he's covering like the entirety of Europe!

Glad I didn't take the day off as I used to, but I've still been distracted.

My gut says "no noise is good" but also that "no noise means that nothing is happening".

Wanted the buzz, not necessarily anything to come from it. Shame.

As I've said everything is locked right down, but you'd have to imagine something would have leaked by now from somewhere if it was anything other than a loan from an English club. I've not completely given up hope because the last update I had was "ongoing"(about 3pm) but I think if it was anything big it would have been harder to keep it under wraps.
