Great window. I got real stampy. Think I only called you all ****s about three times.

It wasn’t perfect but it was still beyond what I thought it would be. Richy La is a player.

We’ve been missing our best centre half for 6 of our last 8 games… and we’ve taken 16 points from those 6 games. To suggest our depth isn’t better than Arsenal’s is both nonsense and being miserable for the sake of it. Like everyone, I’d like more players because I’m a fan and therefore like a kid at Christmas. But it’s not become a bad window overall if the plan is to keep investing over the next windows

I didn't say it was a bad window, I was inferring that they would be no different to us if they picked up a couple of injuries. They have strengthened their team, their squad and its depth. We have strengthened ours too, but I think arsenal have strengthened the areas they needed to most, where perhaps we haven't quite done so.

My concern with Conte is I always feel like we are a couple of bad results away from a melt down. Lose to Fulham he will be pointing out what Chelsea have spent, united have spent. The gap, time, patience. I just hope he has the patience.

Probably just the spurs pessimism in me.

I am happy with the window. Definitely a much better side that when we started and we haven't even got all the new signings involved yet.

I've never understood why not signing anyone on deadline day is seen as a failure and something to meltdown about. Much rather we're organised and not scrabbling around last minute.

Undefeated start and SC is in meltdown..any results other than 5-0 win seems to cause meltdowns!!

I am happy with our business…for the first time in years we have a squad where all the players I am happy with..and GLC is not with us

A good window. Not superb- the fact we’re planning for January indicates that- but some really solid buys to reshape a squad in need of a new identity. I like what @Trix has posted about Conte being strategic and keen to build the right kind of squad over a few windows. Top Four is a realistic target, with hopefully the knockout stages of the CL and a good domestic cup run things we get to enjoy this season

Why do people keep calling Lenglet a stopgap? Because it’s a loan? He’s on loan because Barca are literally trying to sue him over his contract, there was zero chance of us paying the wages he’s on now and zero chance of them agreeing to pay him out before the legals are resolved. If he does well we will have every chance to keep him, he’s not going back to Barca where the fans hate him.

I think he’s called a stop gap because his form was very poor at Barca and because Ben Davies is still clearly no 1 in that position and because he was clearly lower down the list of targets

Honestly think if we signed exactly the same players as we have, but instead of doing it early, we did it all in the last two weeks rounding it out with one of them coming in today people would be raving about our business.

Feels like people get sucked up in the deadline day thing and feel if you aren’t signing players late you aren’t trying. I guess you have Jim White and sky to blame for that.

It’s been a fantastic window for me.

This and also sources close to the club literally described him as that. Bastoni // gvardiol not possible this year, lenglet popped up and we’ve took a chance. Not discrediting him as a player, but more so proving my point, he was an opportunity ie. Planning the window from January onwards being bollocks

Tbh I a wanted us to get two more in to really give us a chance to even challenge for the title...why fucking not.
But now it looks unlikely, I still think we have greatly improved our squad and will be loud and proud behind the boys.
