But seriously, I am trying not to be optimist about the Leandro iTk. Anything can happen at this point..

I think JJs tweet was opinion, but he specifically mentioned UK clubs, and £80m... reading between the lines I'd say that its £80m for a uk club, but perhaps less for say... Real Madrid?

There must be a part of Levy's mind that thinks 'hmm, sell Bale for £80 million, screw £25 million out of Monaco for Loris and get a decent naming rights deal in and pay for the stadium in cash, then spend the next decade after it's built raking in huge gate receipts (providing we don't turn into Aston Villa on the pitch and end up playing in front of an empty stadium)"

He's referencing an article in the Sun today which said that PSG, Madrid, Utd, chavs, and city were lining up £80m bids if Bale becomes available.

This seriously needs to be put to bed. Otherwise we will have a story in every rag until the window shuts

Selling the cream of your squad every summer gets you to where Aston Villa are in a hurry.

Reading between the lines ... to see something that isn't there.

Whereas the independent believe the asking price is 50m. 2 issues with that, 1. We are not asking for anything, we do not need to sell, 2. That is a bullshit amount for a player who at 23 is in the top 3 in the world right now. 80m sounds silly, I'd expect something in the middle. Anyway out of those teams I can only see Madrid being realistic. But hold firm Danny boy, go for the league this year then consider selling next year.

if i ever begin my own start up and employ a Spurs fan i'm definatley blocking this site on the company PC's.

- The random mood swings for no reason
- the referencing of fictional characters such as the goat, a phantom and some randomer called Ben

I would make "do you know what SC ITK is?" a legal prerequist question on the application form and remove any applications with the boxed ticked.

Look what happens to us.

eh? £50m is "a bullsh*t amount" but £80m is "silly" money, so let's "expect" £65m? You're mad.

Imo £50m would be silly money, when only a handful of players have moved for anywhere near that kind of cash.

Modders was a £50m transfer, until the actual move happened... and then it was only £34m.

The (not so) hidden piece of ITK in there is that as with everyone, there's a price. And that price is £80m

Or just repeating what's in pretty much all the papers? If it was to go that far I'd be astonished if we've come far enough as a club to afford turning down 80m, considering he was prob worth around one third of that last summer in the eyes of clubs like Real. We should say no, of course, but it'll take balls..
