Half of Ajax's games are against bottom table Eredivisie sides who would struggle to get out of League One...

Well Liverpool and City scored more than Ajax this season would that work the same in the PL then? only the goals scored and conceded by the bottom PL clubs look worse than the Eredivisie

Valenciayid is hinting Poch.

Gards and JJ most likely are too but I have little inclination to wade through the Twitter conversations to gather the definitive truth...

Verts said he was staying, which was interesting, cos if he's got 2 years on his contract I imagine he is on Chief Dan's 'sign or be sold' list...

That's it.

No doubt Danny boy will have put in a further 2 year option for us?

Surprised by how many people have decided to accept Poch I am resign to a mid table finish next season.

If Timmy can guide us to 6th, why do you say this?

Think I would prefer Frankie personally (would love Simeone), but let's get behind our man.

Fuck me

Long time lurker but some of the comments today are absolutely embarrassing. If we go with poch then get behind him. It ain't his fault if he's given the opportunity and you don't agree he should have been. lower your expectations and give the guy a chance. At least we might get some attractive football.

Anyone who calls for his head before a ball is kicked then please do one and go be a glory hunter and support city chelski , utd or the bindippers

Shame on you

You could well be right, but if he does get appointed we might as well hope for the best and see how he gets along. If it doesn't work out I suspect people will really start to turn against Levy in a big way, but until then I'm happy to hope that the gamble pays off.

I think this is Levys last chance and he has blown it

well he hasn't been bought in a slave market & put to work. It's a bit his fault if he gets the job!

& I'm not sure anyone should be told to ' lower their expectations' either.

Rather poor post there fella

99% hated Timmy for various reason but now same people welcome a man whose previous win rate is 38%

Seriously? It's like comparing how fast you can go with a car on the highway. I think you "might" drive a litter faster with a Lamborghini compared to a f*cking Skoda. It depends on what you have to play with. I'm quite sure that Poch will be able to have a higher win procentage with Spurs than with Soton.......

Better squad ---> Higher win procentage.... simple....

Rodgers win rate (INCLUDING the Championship): 40.63%
Martinez win rate: 28.98%

I don't even know why I bothered replying. I'm not expecting you to say anything back.

That isn't the case.

Expectation is pretty fair. That if Sherwood can get 6th, a competent coach should be able to ride the coattails of 4th and if they get things rolling stand a chance of getting it.

I think that is the expectation amongst the fans whoever is appointed and also from the board.

The reality is that our new coach will have to ride the coat-tails of fifth, assuming that van Gaal galvanises United as expected and Liverpool hang on to Suarez. Par is finishing sixth, ahead of Everton.

It needs repeating that Sherwood averaged 1.91 PPG, which pans out to 73 points a season—a total we've exceeded only twice in our entire history. Does that make him more competent than AVB?

If fourth is the expectation, we'll be looking for a new manager this time next year.
