So based on rumours, if naughts, sandro, holtby AND one of lennon / townsend leaves.... we could be very very pleased come 11pm.

As we get side tracked by our doomed, futile attempt to sign MS, I am getting very concerned by the lack of info re attacking players.

Just know it's going to end in disappointment.

That's all very well, but MS doesn't need convincing. He's desperate to join.

As for the have to offload before we buy, if Southmampton had accepted our bid already/hadn't moved the goal posts, he would already be our player.

Southampton need to do it in such a way that they convince their fans they had no choice, what's more they would likely also need a replacement. Plus we need to make room in our squad and in that respect it's irrelevant what we could have done before if we have just signed another midfielder.
