I'd take regular top 4 and cup wins any day of the week.

Am actually good with all three of the options discussed but FdB sort of feels more Spurs so heart says him. Heart also says f**k the head so heart wins. Want FdB.

I'd take regular top 5-6 and cup wins to be honest, top 4 is a tough ask these days and should be more of a big achievement that an expectation.

Am I the only one not excited by Ancelotti? Maybe it's irrational but I'd rather have Benitez over him.

My only unease over Carlo is how matey he is Roman, just gives me an itchy arse.

I'm more in favour of Rafa over Pocahontas, as it just feels a bit like us going for flavour of the month again and it's a worry that i don't think he has a plan B on match days will admit i don't know enough about him.

If Carlo does become available we will be well down the list of clubs he'd go to.

Without knowing how ANY of this works behind the scenes...could Joe have had a word indirectly with Pochettino? my guy is still convinced he is on the bus to White Hart Lane.

Levy has had more 5 year plans than Stalin.

Oh come on, harsh comparison.

One is a despotic, tyrannical leader renowned in history for purging anyone who even slightly disagreed with him whilst conferring great suffering over his people, the same people that initially worshipped him & hoped he'd lead them to prosperity.... and the other is Joseph Stalin.

I thought Lewis was extremely detached from football. Hasn't he been to something like 2 games in 10 years?

Maybe he's become more hands-on in recent years. I just find it hard to imagine him even knowing who Pochettino is...let alone being adamant that he wants him in charge.

It's a strange one. If anything I would have thought Lewis and Levy's choices would be the other way round.

Nor had Rogers or Martinez before their moves to Merseyside. Just saying...

and both have probably benefitted from not being in Europe this season. Our new man won't have that 'luxury'.

Will be interesting to see how Rodgers & Martinez get on with the increased number of matches, reduction in recovery & preparation times, less days available for training etc. next season. Its definitely a tricky balancing act.

Fans definitely need to get into this mindset imo, for the next 2/3 season anyway.

Yep, i also think we should focus more on the EL and FA Cup going forwards.

To me Spurs are more of a Cup winning team than a League winning team, historically speaking. And given how insane the competition to win the PL is now, i think there's more to be said for filling our cabinet with silverware from cups than from the PL, and far more realistic too.

Our think our aim should be top 4 and one of the two above cups, with failure being seen as non top 6.

I'd personally be very happy with 2 cups and 5-6th finish over the course of the next 3 seasons. Much more so than say 1 top 4 finish and no silverware in 3 years.

Pochettino seems like someone who ticks the Levy boxes

I'm not so sure, there must be a big doubt in DL's mind about a manager to who doesn't speak English in press conferences coming to work under a DoF that he doesn't know. The last time we did this (Ramos & Comolli) it didn't work out well at all.

Plus if those EL quotes are true, that's not a very positive thing for the club.

If we jump in too soon we may not see all the cards on the table and end up with the wrong hand (again). It actually quite exciting starting again (again) after a season of toxic goings on we should be looking forward with positivity and hope (again). We have money, we have some good talent all we need is the right coach to gel it together (again)

And a striker...again... :arghh:
