MOTD is presented by Colin Murray tonight unfortunately not Gary Lineker
I would think that it is quite far along mate.
we know that he is going. I think that we have done the groundwork on this deal. Who mentioned donna cullens new mate?
The only hold up i would imagine is if someone like City tried to tap him up, but that said, who is gonna turn down Real Madrid?
I'm still hoping for Blanc too.
Btw did JJ quantify his bit about Modric leaving any further i.e. saying if Roger Morgan was correct??
I still fear CityHe wont turn down Madrid mate.
I know there's been enquiries from a few teams abroad but not an official bid.
If he goes Madrid I'll wish him all the best. Better than than Chelsea, City or United.
Some big shoes to step into for someone when Luka goes, I hope we have a suitable replacement lined up I really do
I still fear City
I still fear City
I don't.
City are going to amass all the good players anyway, but let them. They can't play them all and Modric will spend time on the bench.
DL will also not let Modric go to City for the same amount as RM, pretty sure of that... we rebuffed Chelsea at 40m, so I can't imagine City being allowed to offer less than that.
Especially as RM were potentially offering a player too.
Modric can reject RM and push for city, but DL can tell him to do one and not sell him again if he wanted to.
So if City, then I reckon big money. Key for me is not United or Chelsea as they have the bigger need.

Modric to Madrid could usher in a possible formation shift unless a like for like comes in.
Moutinho was spouted yesterday, he seemed to have a good game last night from the patches i saw.

I hope we get a replacement in before Modric goes so we don't get ripped off because they know we need a creative midfielder and have money. My other worry is will Bale kick up a fuss when Modric goes creating the same affect we had last summer / start of season?
While I agree with the sentiment, wasn't there info that the Chelsea bid was something like £23m plus Kalou, and Roger didn't mention a player as well, that was based on very old, and possibly unsound information. Posters just got a bit excited about it all and assuming that as the bid was lower than their valuation/the amount paid for Andy Carroll there must be a player too, to make up the difference. 2+2=5 and all that.I don't.

Moutinho looked very good and tidy on the ball. Not sure about his stamina levels and pace. Looks a little lazy off the ball. But in fairness I can't pass judgement after one match. I've never really watched him closely. I can defo see a shift in formation if we don't replace Mods with a like for like player.Modric to Madrid could usher in a possible formation shift unless a like for like comes in.

Just to throw a curveball in there, I met Ian Broomfield about 2 months ago as he is old friends with my gaffer.
Mates from his leeds days apparently, had a brief chat, shook hands and all that.
But the point is/was my boss asked him to get me a signed shirt as he said he could leave them in the dressing room and pick them up later and Broomys reply was best be quick as he is coming back up north to a new job.
take it as you will? But is Ian Broomfield that highly rated?
