Overall if this is it I am happy. A week ago I didn't expect that lot to go and I certainly didn't expect the two Juve lads. We do need more players obviously, but it's a start and a step in the right direction. Conte now has players he can trust and work with.

As others have said, Gil going on loan and nobody else coming in is a bit baffling. But I'll take it if it means Conte continues to stay. We only have the FA Cup and the league now anyway. No Europe. I know postponed fixtures, but should be okay.

We got rid of players that Conte wasn't picking unless absolutely forced to due to injuries and suspensions. I'm good with it.

For a minute, imagine Conte's top targets are;

LCB - Pau Torres
CM - Bissouma
RWB - Spence
CF - Jonathan David

Do you honestly think these players would have been available now? They're not are they so we have to hold on to the summer.

We've down what we needed to. Move players who Conte had no plans for on or get them in the shop window, signed a CM who is better than what we have (also fits Conte's style) and got a potentially quality attacker in.

Don't the lower leagues have a different window? Spence might be available?

This is an issue in my eyes. White is no where ready and would benefit with a loan, conte hasn’t used him once so to block a loan he must think we will need all the help we can get in midfield. One more please FP!

Shows how poor our squad was when most of us realize we have made improvements on same by releasing 4 and bringing just 2 in. In fairness none of the 4, bar Gil have a long term future with us and I am personally delighted to see the back of nDombele and Lo Celso in particular, two of our worst signings ever.
Still think we are light up top, esp if Kane gets injured, something no other top 4 aspiring club would tolerate, but we seem to go window after window without addressing same, cannot be left unaddressed this summer.
Again, still a few hours for something to happen, fingers and toes crossed, striker or rwb please.

Second striker is Bergwijn.
Second LCB will probably be Sanchez, until the summer.

I don't think anyone has suggested everything is "perfect" right now. But, we are much better positioned for the rest of this season, and then the summer window, than we were before the start of this window.

Conte will feel backed by getting rid of players that he felt were a distraction to what he was trying to accomplish. He will know that Levy is serious by how aggressive we were in getting players out the door - at less than Levy would have previously demanded.
Oh please no. Personally I think Sanchez should be fitted with an anklet that gives him an electric shock whenever he strays on to the left side of the pitch. He literally can't stand up whenever he has to activate his left foot.

Certainly indicates we won't be signing another to replace them.

Pretty weird that we're going to have to make a top 4 charge with White regularly on the bench but oh well.
Barring injuries he probably won't be on it too much. In MF we'll likely have 2 of Winks, Skipp, Bentancur and PEH on the bench, with 2 of Lucas, Kulu and Bergwijn in the forward slots. Add in a goalie, 2 wing backs, 2 CBs...that's the bench.

The odds of him actually seeing game time are pretty minimal I reckon.

Ive waited till we got that bit of news - tbh overall it is a bit disappointing but also a tricky one to judge.

Positives:

- We have shifted of a lot of our deadwood, although they are only loans so could end up back here in the summer (apart from Dele obv)
- We signed 2 players with previous high potential who know each other.
- We covered RWF and CM

Negatives:

- With only 2 incomings the squad looks very thin atm and quite unbalanced
- We missed out on a few of our first choices and plans went pear shaped somewhat
- Some of our Summer targets now look off the table

Its definitely hard to judge until we see how the Juve lads get on. They had high potential but havent been inform for the last couple of seasons. A lot of people are hyping them but have never watched them play. Its very much a wait 2 months and then judge the window imo.
Respect everyone's right to an opinion but in the short term I just dont buy this very thin squad view. Even if the FA Cup run goes all the way to the final, we have a max of 23 games left in 4 months, c. 5-6 games a month.

We have 10 players across the defensive/wing back positions and then 9 across the central midfield and forward positions. That's 19 players, yes our bench isnt world class and may need some youngsters to top up if we get unlucky with a really bad injury crisis, but its enough to get us to a position where we can actually invest in players Conte wants in the summer which is the whole strategy our ITKS have repeatedly stated is our focus.

White is Championship level, probably acceptable enough to be a 5th CM choice for 2 spots, and Dier can always play there in an emergency. It's upfront where my concern is.

So who do we think is the potential deal from nowhere? I reckon over 4 hours is enough time for a surprise. That combined with 3 CMs leaving the club makes me think we may see another transfer inbound.

I don't think that's ever been a realistic aim this season.
Its open right now.

We have the personnel to make top-4, barring more injuries.

Conte has gotten rid of people who were outside of his circle of trust - and I think he is ready to challenge for top-4 with the players he has - and I think the players will have that same mind-set.

Don't think it was at first, but defo chance now
Kind of thought as this season being like a long pre season. But we had to show conte something on and off the pitch. If the loans with options stay there then this will be a huge start to the summer.
