Bit of a side-track, but something like this happened in Denmark, at Brøndby not too long ago. The majority owner and chairman of the club was posting on the fan board under a pseudonym. don't think there was any ITK stuff, but he did a lot of moaning about the coach of the time (Thomas Frank). It eventually came to light and Thomas Frank resigned, not wanting work under those circumstances.
If Levy signed up on here to have a moan we'd never spot him. There'd be about a hundred suspects.

Tottenham are considering options to replace Tanguy Ndombele if he joins PSG on loan. Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is one of the players in the list.

It’s his brother. He is a 25 year old bench player for the team in 7th place in Italy. Surely this is the 10th option on our ‘list’ fab is on about?
This is the problem with the January window.

Your top options are likely going well in their team, who have no desire to sell nor does the player want to leave mid season.

Ugh, if he’s on the list that suggests he’s the kind of profile we’re after. Just another runner who doesnt/can’t play progressively. We’re desperate for a bit of a guile. Would’ve been hoping we’d have been looking for more of a ball player than another workhorse.

And if you’re not careful you end up paying over the odds for someone who’s just in a good run of form.

Jjetset and The Goat are the best IMO as well but nothing is certain until it’s signed
The goat isn't one person. It's also not about who's the best. It's about who's source is closest to any particular deal in question, especially as any deal has two or three or four sides and multiple chances for things to go wrong.

Every legit ITK has their merits but I'm sure on their own admission there's certain deals they're much more confident about happening due to where the info is coming from and other info thats much more open to interpretation that they may or may not choose to share. Can be a hiding to nothing. Just like passing on horse tips. The info can be 100% legit but for one reason or another it doesn't play out as hoped/expected.

After having avoided this thread for a week I have decided to completely ignore all links to under 21 players other than to note that I approve of stockpiling them so that a small number have a chance of coming good or bringing a decent transfer fee.

January windows generally only see temporary solutions or prospects come in. Both only happen if the team they are leaving does not need them and the player does not want to wait for the summer when the situation is clearer.

Kessie, as an example, is an extreme long shot to join before the summer. We absolutely need him now. Milan, while they would like to get something for him, need him in their lineup. Kessie will have his agent, family, friends all telling him to wait. In the summer, he will know the landscape. Why would he sign long-term with us unless he was sure we were going to have CL? There will be no shortage of opportunities in the summer for a player of his quality. Reports today seem to confirm this. He will get paid either way.

Traore, on the other hand, is a player who will likely move. Remains a "work in progress", has played about 440 minutes since November 1, will not likely re-sign, and will be free in 2023. A sale now, for a squad player, will net 5-7M more than this summer. Reports over the past week seem to confirm this.

I would hope that anyone who is willing to take Ndombele on loan, will have a similar player in their midst who is "surplus" who could go the other way on loan. Whether that would be of help or not is a whole other thing.

Not a lot of names out there who could immediately step in and be impactful. We are paying for really poor transfer decisions over the past 12 windows.

This is where FP needs to pull a couple of rabbits out of his hat and where Levy needs to find a way to get the finances to work.

Reality is, with CL, the fix will go faster
