It will make no difference if Levy hired Nagelsmann, he will never fully back him or give him control of football matters. It doomed to fail as long as Levy remains at club.

There isn't a living soul that could make a success of the Spurs manager job under the constraints Levy has put in place...

The jig is up for Danny boy and he knows it. I expect him to go back for Nagelsmann and a DOF to take the heat off him, back them for one window then put the brakes and shackles back on proceedings. Rinse and repeat in 18 months with another "restructure".

I'm kind of hoping he goes for someone second rate, as I think that could make things so toxic he'll be ousted.

Scott Munn coming in as Chief Football Officer is the most senior Football Club position that Levy has created, thus effectively enabling him to extricate himself from footballing decisions. Let that sink in.
My thoughts are that Levy and Munn will discuss and implement an overview Budget for the club, including payers in and out, the Women’s club and then Munn will delegate funds accordingly.

Levy still has the hotel and the museum as well as driving forward progress on naming rights so he will implement his expertise in those areas he knows comfortably, alon with his Directors he’s put in place to improve expertise where needed.

The question is - will he actual do that? Will he let go? I doubt it.

I know he's only supposed to start on July 1, but we've seen no evidence of Munn's involvement thus far judging by the calamitous manager search which is strikingly similar to 2 years ago. I fear Munn is no more than a shield for DL. I can't see him signing off cheques like he would need to.

This is no different to what Paratici's remit was, it's just a different job title. When Paratici was appointed his job title was Managing Director, Football, and the statement read:

Fabio will be responsible for managing and developing the Club’s sporting operations at the Club, facilities and footballing infrastructure.

Levy commented: "I am delighted that he will be heading up the football side of the Club as we look ahead to next season."

Paratici's remit was no different to what Munn's is now, and yet Levy made the decision to sack Nuno and appoint Conte, and from the snippets we've heard he was still in the driving seat for a lot of transfers and couldn't help himself when a deal presented itself (eg Danjuma).

Munn is but another puppet, it's just a new name and a different job title. Anybody still falling for it at this point - and I've seen many on here and on social media - deserves whatever mess Levy is about to drag us into, I'm sorry to say.

DL’s pretty much fuckered with the fans either way.

It’s bad now, but I believe it’ll be a LOT worse when the next poor bloke’s binned off.

We’ll be fucked. Managers are already wary of us, so if we sack another one soon, we’ll be given a huge swerve going forward

Perhaps that what it’ll take to get Levy removed - no manager we want will be willing to come work for us.

Actually, thinking about it, Levy’s fucked. The next sacking is gonna be his last dance, I reckon. It’s gotten to the point where he’ll have to be removed for anyone of note to even consider being our manager.

Good.

The really frustrating thing for me is I think there are a lot of things about this club that are reasons for optimism or at least there are still positive pathways available for us, but the board (not just Levy, the whole board) have proven themselves so unbelievably incompetent, it's hard to have any hope that things work out well.

Our playing squad is obviously bloated and weak in some key areas, but we also still have two of the best attackers in PL history and a solid nucleus of good players who are young or entering their prime; lots of work to be done, but far from hopeless or impossible. However, someone competent needs to run this process of squad regeneration (and there needs to be a process not just reacting to whatever agent calls with a hot tip).

When we started the managerial search, there were actually a lot of candidates who could be seen as an improvement on Conte and at least were much better than a Nuno-level disaster, plus some legitimately standout options available (like JN, Slot, Poch). The fact when can still end up with someone as awful as Nuno is damning, but even if we fall ass-backwards into a half decent appointment, it doesn't change the fact that the board has hardly given off the impression of knowing what they're doing throughout this process.

Even some of the restructuring changes could be seen as positives (Munn, new DoF, some of the assistant DoF appointments that Paratici made). It's possible these types of appointments are helping bring more people with footballing knowledge into structures that will support our on-field success. But how much faith does anyone have that these changes actually will change power-structures and decision-making processes within the club? I know I don't have much faith or at best it's all very wait-and-see.

Ugh. There is so much potential and possibility for us to actually get some things right and turn around our floundering and messiness of the last few years, but then I remember the people in charge of these decisions or at least hiring the people to make these decisions are the same ones who got us into this mess. I just have no hope that they have the competence, self-awareness, and skills to successfully navigate us through this period.

At what point does he realise this and surely if he had no awareness of it he should now.

With the team in decline, possibly losing our star player and no real sight of champions league again any time soon, he will soon start losing big sponsors. Then that just too late for everyone including ENIC.

This is the part that really gets to me, the words ”football side of the club”, Tottenham Hotspur is a football club, not a mulit sports and entertainment centre or a vessel to finance Levy’s building project. After 23 years with him in charge I doubt that this one simple fact will dawn on him.

Just seen this press release, and it's silverware at last! 'The manufacturers of anti-depressants would like to congratulate Daniel Levy for being voted 'man of the year' for his service to our cause. He has been awarded the Serotonin cup for vastly increasing sales amongst the supporters of Tottenham Hotspurs. Of particular note was his continuing diligence in undermining and giving false hope to the fans while being totally delusional about his own genius. Congratulations Daniel!'

How many chances should we be giving him? Nothing was done right after Poch's time. Even when appointments of Mourinho and Conte seemed right, he still could find ways to shit things up. One literally has to applaud him for such level of spursiness he could direct for the club to perform to that role

It's really a fuxking shame there's nothing collectively in power from the club or board could do to remove him for his utter uselessness and incompetence.

VERY ANNOYING & FRUSTRATING.

This place was a much nicer place when we had Sinton and Walker playing for us… can we go back to that and just be happy?

Many thought Jose was the last roll of the dice, then after Nuno many thought the same with Conte. Honestly the only way I see him finally giving up control is for fans to stop giving the club money. Could you imagine the stadium with only 10k (I'm sure there'll still be some that show up), that sends a much bigger message than chanting "Levy Out"

Your post is bang on - the only problem is our fan base will never muster sufficient numbers collectively to take action that makes a difference. A LOT of us will moan til the cows come home, a few will not renew season tickets, a few will not buy merch, a few will protest outside / inside the ground / Hotspur Way - but it will never be enough to worry Levy / ENIC. Levy won't quit, ENIC won't sell and, barring a miracle worker coach, nothing much will change on the pitch either.
