Forget the race for 4th place, surely that's now a given ;-)

10 points behind the gypsys, a game in hand, got to play them yet. That will leave us only 4 points behind!!!!

Before any one slates me, this is just a light hearted Tongue in cheek thread :)

I was thinking the same thing myself as I looked at the live Premiership table on the BBC's Saturday live text feed. It's good to dream!

But in all seriousness, I hope Harry and the boys are thinking about this: if we're playing looking up the table rather than worrying about what's below us, I think this will affect our mentality, attitude and confidence going into the remaining games that might win us a point or maybe two that we would otherwise not pick up.

Let's overhaul the Scum!

Couldn't help myself thinking about this yesterday, and that's before they had 2 points cruelly snatched away from them by the Brummies today, poor little mites. If Man City drop a couple more on Monday I really will start to dream of beating Chels and the Gooners at home and really giving it a crack!

Chelsea's record against us didn't last forever,it just felt like it! There's nothing to say we can't end Arsenal's run this year.

Also each match is a new event, it has nothing to do with games from previous seasons. Form, personnel, tactics and luck can all differ sufficiently for things to change. Without doubt there have been times when we have not been at the races, but plenty of times when the Arse have been lucky to continue the record

Good for you Mattyspurs, Liverpool are the same amount of points behind us as we will be behind the arsenal when we win our game in hand and people are still saying Liverpool are in the race for fourth so we surely have to be in the race for third.
Arsenal have been on a great run but just recently they have been grinding out last minute wins which means they are slipping and the next step is not getting the last gasp win or draw and then losing so this is a serious possibility.

Optimistically speaking!:)

We'll need decent and honest referee decisions...

Arse anal are good but not that good and there's no reason why, with a very determined effort and a little luck, we shouldn't pick up the points to catch them come the end of the season.
If we did wouldn't it be rather special to see the look on their pompous manager's face, now that would be something spectacular to end the season on.

i would rather stay cynical about our chances of 4th. im normally an optimist but this season ive been pessimistic and it's clearly been working.

Sat here watching Match of the day - twice now Lineker has referred to the "Top 3 all played today" - so it's official, now that Liverpool are sitting in 7th it's the top 3, not the top 4. Unbelievable, and from an ex-Spur.

To be fair we are 10 points off third. The top 3 is the title race.

if we were in the top 4 last season and the table looked how it does now, he would have probably said "the top 4 all played today"

We've been strong finishers in recent seasons and I think we will be again, so it's doable. However, as has been said, Arsenal need to fuck up. 3rd is theirs to lose rather than ours to win. Sadly, I fear we may have to settle for 4th. Oh well, there's always next season!

I agree with the sentiment...but, on paper, the ArseScum have a pretty oddly doddly run-in (like against B'rum today:roll:)
