Hmmm, so we appear to starting to shift some, swelling the coffers and freeing up more of the wage budget...looks like the Levy train may be steaming into town with a cargo of meltdown!

If we lose both Dawson and Bassong, we'll be left with 4 centre halves: Kaboul, Vertonghen, Caulker and Gallas. If that happens, I will seriously worry because our record with injuries there is pretty appalling. I hope that with Bassong out, we will keep Dawson.

Dawson AND Bassong to QPR? They're going down then...

This kind of nonsense is annoying, both these players (especially Dawson) have played well for us. Dawson has had several very good seasons and Bassong has done a job when called on.
As soon as our players are out of favour, people like you turn on them! This is akin to what gooners do and have now done to rvp - it's shameful and Spurs fans should know better.

Livermore the emergency centerback? Wouldn't surprise me to see him get games there in the Cups.

Ironically now is the time you want to sign someone like Nelsen, a good pro who you can turn to if shit hits the fan but wont stunt the progress of Caulker or the integration of Verts.

Sky Sources: Sebastien Bassong agrees to sign for Norwich. More on#SSN

The Norwich reporter on twitter called this at about 7am today kudos. Twitter was much easier to search at 7, the last 10 minutes alone have seen thousands of Spurs related tweets because of the Bassong news. Good luck to the lad if it goes through, just didn't work out with us.

8m would be cheap for Dawson and it would be a bloody crime to have a maestro like Tom play for bloody Stoke - how does that signing make sense to any of them? Would be happy to see the backs of Jenas and Bassong, but the former has been involved quite a bit lately. I don't rate Rose but we don't have much left-sided cover now..
I have Stoke City fans in my family and they will tell you Hudd is exactly what they need, perfect fit. They'll be strong this season especially with Tom in the middle

If you'd read further down the page you muppet you'd've seen that you've misunderstood what I've written. (y)

I meant Dawson and Bassong are going down. But the quick to dumb and hard of reading brigade are out again

time to really clear the deadwood once and for all..we might suffer quite a bit till jan or maybe till next season. but look on the bright side? we should back AVB if we believe his potential and let him do what he thinks hes right. if he can build a dynasty in a next few following season, i wouldnt mind using this using just to clear the deadwood and get a few decent purchase in. sometimes we set ourselves unrealistic targets. in our mind as spurs fans, we MUST challenge for top 4 this season, if not its end of the world. truth is even if we get top 6 this season, but benefits us in the long run, thats way better for us and the club. 4 centre back is fine, if we can use the cash from bassong and dawson and strengthen weaker places such as cm,st or gk
Fuck me, not two posts below mine. WINNER!

Or we'll do what we did in January again and clear the decks before making a couple of underwhelming loan signings and leaving our squad woefully imbalanced for the rest of the season, then blame the manager...
