Bloody hell, (Twitter-) ITK that makes sense and ties in well with other ITK - can't be right then, can it? For the record I would be astonished if we signed both Ade and another player that ticks all these boxes: 1) Expensive; 2) Older than 25; 3) Tall, strong target man. Llorente ticks'em all. Leandro though makes a lot of sense and could even allow us to sell Ade for a significant profit in 1-2 years...

I agree the likelihood of us spending 70 million based on our usual outlay is pretty slim however, our current dealings in the transfer market probably still have us spending a net of 0. Therefore, if we get 35m for Modders then the 70 mil spend actually means a total of £35m outlay for the window - and early ITK suggested we had a pot this summer outside of sales. I still don't think it likely but just maybe this is the year we invest.

Imagine, Vertonghen, sig, Ade, Willian, Leandro, Moutinho, fryers, hall in for affectively 35m! Would be an unbelievable summer

Not claiming any insight in the inner workings of the club, but looking at Levy and our dealings I'd be surprised if the 'pot' is anything else than maximum spent and we're still looking to make really good deals with proper sell-on potential. I could see us pay significant money for Leandro and Moutinho, though, as they're young, proven full internationals playing in roles we really need. Massive money for some winger from Russia (/Brazil) though - can't see it.

That's a bit scary, if we don't get another striker, we have Ade, JD & Kane.

I think we might get Leandro & sell JD to Fulham. I don't think Llorente will come to us

Have been told we're going back with a bid of £18m plus add ons up to £22m for LD today. Llorente ship sailed when Ade signed#THFC

Would think it's more likely round the other way. The Ade ship came in when the Llorente ship headed towards Italy/west London.
