I wonder if there is just too much to do at the moment and therefore this has dropped down the priority list. (I'm not suggesting it would be right to do so, just wondering aloud).

Men's team signings (in and out), new DoF, Academy lead leaving and so on.
Think there’s plenty of people on the women’s side that make these decisions anyway. Can’t imagine they’re all sitting around waiting for Scott Munn. Also not sure where the Donna Cullen stuff comes from as never really seen her presence around the women’s set up.

Yeah, I'm not generally one for bashing the club but this is pretty poor from the club. Communicate what the plan is and show that the women's team is important - we shouldn't be trawling Ally Gold's comms to find out what is happening.
Seems to be quiet all around at the moment from the women’s side. No news on the manager, nothing on the whole raft of players whose contracts are up very soon, nothing on season ticket renewals… I know it’s still another 3 months until the season starts but it’s so quiet I’m beginning to wonder if we’re even still going to be playing football next season!

They did confirm the releases:

Although I understand that we're hoping to bring Mana Iwabuchi back. Assume if it's happening it'll be announced Friday.

Oh I know they did announce those, but there are a lot more (Zadorsky, Ale, Ayane, Graham, Summanen, Pearse) who are also out of contract that we’ve heard nothing about.

Gotcha. Although I think (THINK) that Zadorsky had an extra year as an option, which presumably has been taken up. Possibly the same with Summanen.

I know Rosella has her critics, but I really like her and hope we keep her too.

I don’t think Shelina does, I think that Summanen, Graham and Pearse do though.
I don’t mind keeping Ros but do think we should be looking to upgrade left wing if we can. I’d prefer her coming off the bench.

Nah, Zadorsky, Ale, Ayane don’t have options, the rest do. They’ve done the releases and non releases very differently this year, guess the manager aspect is part of it.

I hope she goes, but would be ok if stays as strictly bench cover. Going nowhere keeping the same line up.

Yeah that’s my thinking too, that it’s to do with the manager. The ones who already left were mostly not surprising (though I was sad Kerys and Esther left) due to playing time etc but these ones remaining will have a bigger impact if they leave.

Emily Ramsey released by Manchester United, 22 year old GK on England stand by, you'd think we'd be interested since we released ours.

There’s so many keepers available and slots tbh (think 6 of bottom 7 teams on the market). Imagine Ramsey is back to Everton though permanently. Just hope we land one of the better ones.

I've never heard of him, though my football knowledge of womens football in Sweden is next to nothing 😅 We've been looking for someone for long enough so hopefully he's worth it!

At last! I don’t know him, but he seems to have done some very good work. Interesting that he went from assistant for the men’s team to manager of the women’s. Shows that he, and BK Hacken, take the women’s game very seriously. Exciting times.

It’s all happening after a quiet period! Swiss international defender Luana Bühler. She’s in the Swiss squad for the World Cup so will definitely be checking out some of their games to see her play.

There have been a couple of signings since this thread was last active.

Grace Clinton seems like a perfect signing for us. A shame it's only a loan, but who knows maybe it could turn permanent if things work out. Man Utd have so many players after all.

And never heard of it tbh, but reading up on her welcome she sounds very useful.

Vilahamn's staff have also been named. Vicky Jepson back of course, in an interesting role. I like there is a lot of focus on her role about bringing players through from the academy. Plus, the fact that there is mention of working closely with the men's team is interesting.

I didn't know that Anton Blackwood had been working with the women as well, but it seems now he'll be full time with the women's team.

And Perry Suckling has now moved over to the women's team as well. His experience will surely be really valuable.

Be interesting to see what the plan is. Obviously, last season Becky Spencer and Tinja split the games 50/50. With Tinja gone and Becky having had a great World Cup, I would have thought she'd have first choice in her head. But sounds like this new signing is very much coming in to start.
