Jeez are we going to sign Soldado before the Rapture?

Roger Morgan ITK was interesting but I didn't see anything that wasn't pretty obvious regard Bale and Soldado seemed to reflect some of the other ITK.

What is Morgans hit rate like? We don't seem to see too many morsels from him/her
If Roger Morgan says something it will more than likely be a reflection of what ends up in the Daily Mail, or The Mail on Sunday presumably

Morning AC and all

Not too concerned about the news regarding Bale, I'm sure we will match his demands and be able to keep our talisman for at least another season or two.

I think we'll bag Soldado as Levy is ready to move all in on the top four and he'll pay whatever's necessary to bag a player that the manager/coach wants.

The fact that we have already spent £24 million and are offering £20 million+ demonstrates that we are not operating within our normal budget constraints so an extra couple of million shouldn't matter in this case.

Also we will need Soldado to ensure that Bale won't go to United as with Soldado, Paulinho, Chadli, and a possible Coentrao we would compare favourably to a post-Fergie United. As for Real they need to meet our huge valuation whilst I'm also not convinced Bale would gamble going abroad at his age with a young family.

Lots of 'ifs and buts' but this season reminds me of the Commoli era where Levy seemed to fancy him and backed him to the hilt. It feels similar with AVB/Baldini.

Levy has got to trust that no matter what bullying tactics R Madrid use, they would be back in for Bale next season and he'll get his money then.

Do you really think that the clubs haven't already spoke to his agent. He'll know exactly what they are offering.
Or do you believe that all business done by these clubs are above board because history states otherwise.

no of course there are conversations between clubs and agents and largely behind the back of the club that owns the player. This is different though surely if true. This is him specifically asking for details. So it must raise doubts.

And then he didn't fancy him and sacked him blamed him for appointing Ramos and took no responsibility himself, hopefully that won't be similar.

To be fair I've always had confidence that Levy would complete this deal from the off. (when I say the off, I don't mean last season when he tried and failed to get him, I mean this time around)

I am getting less concerned about Liverpool. The Times are reporting that they do not want to sell Suarez to a PL club , the Arsenal deal is getting further away and how would they fund a deal for Soldado without the funds from Suarez. They are even having to deny that Fenway want to sell them this morning.

Not too concerned about what Shanks said

Levy knows that if Suarez goes to Arsenal and Liverpool get Soldado we will finish 6th and the extra 3m it would take to get Soldado now is better than the 10m or so prize money that is lost for finishing 6th instead of 4th

Levy is not stupid surely

He is certainly not stupid but he is stubborn and that's what is worrying me with the Soldado transfer.

I'm sure someone will volunteer to text you. Fingers crossed it happens during the actual ceremony. That'd be interesting.

If little Danny have the capacity to think this way

We would not have Neilsen & Saha in one window....or Frazer Campbell replacing Berbatov in another.....or Dempsey replacing Van Der Vaart .....or Adebayor & Defoe as strikers for the whole of last season

I honestly don't think Suarez would go to Arsenal. It would be a really odd move given his hated of all things British media-like. Don't think Bobby S would go to Liverpool either - but I get where you're coming from. Like I said elsewhere, Levy only has our best interests at heart - after all they are HIS (and his family's) interests/future.
