Top 4, silverware and getting into the last 16 of the CL. Hopefully the fixtures will be kind for our first home games, once we have a few wins under the belt it'll be fine

Is there's evidence our away form is down to the pitch size?

not definitive evidence, no. but it can hardly be discounted as a contributor.

at any rate, the point is that i don't really think that the existing concerns about pitch size are based upon our inexperience with larger pitches, so much as that our experiences on them haven't necessarily allayed the concerns. we've been better on the smaller pitch of WHL, and if it's been an advantage for our pressing style (a reasonable suspicion, if not assertion), it will be an advantage missed at Wembley.

no biggie. i hope we're as good at home next season as we were this one. but i understand why folks question it.

Heard something on a podcast (think it was fighting cock) that players get used to knowing where they are on the pitch by things around them in the stadium (bits in the stand, same crazy fat bald bloke with his kit off, etc) so maybe there's something in the need to get used to a stadium....

I am dreading next season at Wembley...it could develop into a tale of woe...but it probably won't go half as bad as I suspect. If we get top 6 next year, that'll be a major achievement.

Just my 2 cents..

I expect the start of the season to be a bit rough, but by October/November we'll be steamrolling along. Comfortably finish amongst Top 6 and make it through to at least Final 16 of Champions League.

Yeah, they were talking about the sight lines of a stadium and how players use them to judge weight and distance of pass etc

What?
TBH i heard the bit on TFC and it sounded like bollocks to me...surely they know where they are on the pitch by looking at where they are on the pitch?

Clearly we need a fat bald bloke with his top off at some point around the pitch...;)

considering I have a lustrous head of flowing hair, and the body of a greek god i don't think Id fit the bill mate, might end up distracting the gay players lol

It can only help that we played a few times there already this season. The first few games always take time but we've already had those games now. I actually think game by game we've played better there. We played poorly in the first 2 CL games, better against CSKA, better again against Gent and played our best game there against Chelsea. The results may not have been good but the performances not as bad as it appears.
