You can never wish that sort of injury to happen to any other human being. The end.

Agreed. Anyone wishing this on a player because he plays for a team they dont like arent football supporters, but thugs.

As another thread showed last week, sadly we have scum (and I am not talking about anything to do with Arsenal) who delude themselves that they are supporters who attach themselves to our genuine football supporters and stain the traditions and values of spurs. Unfortunately we cannot get rid of them.

Ooooh! Are you my girlfriend?

You're very wrong here, but can't really disagree with your general outlook.

Can't really understand what makes me very wrong about football only being a game?

Anyways, that's cool because if everyone had the same opinion the world would be a boring place  and I was thinking that particular comment I made might have some people in disagreement although I stand by it!

And no I'm not your girlfriend... At least I wasn't the last time I checked hmmm... Are you rich?

Wohoo come on you Spurs!

I dont like arsenal or any of their players. However I wouldnt wish an injury like that on anyone. Life is too short to hate people.

Except maybe Wenger.

Some complete idiots posting on here, speedy recovery 2 the lad, especially as he isn't one of their dirty players. Shocking injury, let's hope he pulls on an arsenal jersey again, that could be a career-ender.

let's hope this will teach eboue 2 calm down his antics.

I hate Arsenal, but not half as much as I love Tottenham.
I feel happy in a strange way when Arsenal players get injured, not because of them as individuals (well, not all of them) but because I'm happy at anything that stops Arsenal doing well.
EDIT: though not to the extent of this injury

It's a strange feeling in that Man U have basically become my second team for most of the last ten years, not that I like them. Just anything that I'd much rather they stop Arsenal and Chelsea winning the league, cup, a rosette... basically everything!

Right, Bomber, but the thing is no one in this thread said ‘shame it’s not Roy Keane.’ No one even mentioned Muamba (remember why Bale is sidelined for months), let alone Ben Thatcher. Only Arsenal players. Which is a proof it’s not about fairness rather than sheer partizan hatred.

Hence I maintain that celebrating a football player’s injury is primitive to the core and as much as dumb as hating an actor for playing ‘bad’ characters in a movie.

Whatever players have between them on the pitch it’s not right to wish them injury. Intentional foul play is (1) punishable by law and/or (2) subject to bad karma or poetic justice, I firmly believe. It’s all here, I couldn’t have put it better:

I think it's pretty twisted to hate someone that much, especially someone you don't know. But this thread just goes to show what it is to be human.

Last thing I want to say is what goes around comes around. Gloat now, but remember it when something shit happens to you or yours.

Some people don't deserve Spurs and don't understand glory or know what victory is. I put them in the same category as the worse of Arsenal, West Ham or wherever. They're no different from each other. That's all.

One last thing: to me, getting Lehmann or Eboue injured is a missed chance to make them feel crap and prove them useless ****s on the pitch when we beat them. And I relish and wish them being humiliated in a game by my beloved Tottenham rather than escape a spectacular thrashing by the excuse of being sidelined.

Don't you think the fate of arse-landed sub-being-subbed Boulahrouz is much more fair and delighful?

More stuff, this time from the Croatian Football Association.

First, an interview with the Croatian NT's doctor.

"It's an open sprained ankle injury, with the fibula being broken and the tibia intact. The greatest injuries were to the ligaments in Eduardo's ankle. (...) The doctor that performed the surgery was very pleased. A full reconstruction had been done and he's optimistic about Eduardo's return. (...) Eduardo says he's not in pain and will continue rehabilitation in London. He'll start physical therapy in a month."

Doctor Bahtijarević is still cautious and says the recovery time could be up to a year.

And from The Man himself!

"I'm speechless and cannot express my gratitude for all the support I've received. Thank you, everyone. Your support means a lot to me and I could not believe that it would be so strong. Many have called me, as well as the club and Andreja, the phones won't stop ringing. I'd like to thank everyone for their good wishes but ask for their understanding and some peace and quiet during the next several days, both for me and for my family. At this moment, after the surgery, I need to rest and sleep. There will be plenty more opportunities to talk later on."

Personally for the lad; this is great news.
