He's only 21. If we're signing him then it is for the future not this season. I appreciate that we have depth out wide now but there's nothing wrong with looking to the future as well. We don't know which players will make it yet so the more youngsters we sign, the more chance one of them breaks through and becomes a great player.

Am I the only one, that's rather annoyed we'll sign a long time gooner fan? Maybe I'm just silly, to think in those lines.

He was class at Blackpool, but when professional footballers support, ur rivals, I can't see why we should sign them..
there are many instances of everton fans signing for liverpool, and being legends.

i think if he was wanted to sign for us, that makes your point somewhat moot right away doesn't it?

I guess I see ur point.. As I stated, I might just be silly.. Just always looked down on him as an individual for being so open about being a Arsenal fan.

Defoe, have been loyal thru the years.. Still.. Its just my opinion, that if it stood to me, no gooner fans at our club..

Bale was a gooner, i'm glad he's gone.

I've always been against us signing Ince, urging us to have faith in our own youth - Townsend being one.
Looking at our current squad though, i do think it would be more balanced with Ince there rather than Sigurdsson.
Wouldn't protest if we do these two transfers today. Signings of Chadli and Eriksen do squeeze Sigurdsson's opportunities.

Signing him them loaning him back?
Makes some sense. Have him there just in case whilst we see what happens with Lennon and Townsend.

One for the future and can be good enough but not good enough right now.

Apologies if posted elsewhere but anyone heard Tom Ince interview on Talksport two weeks ago?

Around the 4 minute 40 second mark he says he's an Arsenal fan.

You do know that Defoe is an arsenal fan?

I am just wondering how many of those that are saying Ince is a pointless signing have actually watched him play?....

I think perhaps there is a general assumption from people that Ince is an out and out winger. From what I have seen of him however I think he will eventually become a creative central midfield player. He has great touch, balance and awareness and plays the game with his head up. I think as an £8 million investment (I assume that is the price seeing as that's what Cardiff had agreed) with him staying at Blackpool to develop further this would be a shrewd signing for the future.

Why are we going for another left footed player! We have Townsend, Lamela and maybe even Hulk... but even if we dont get Hulk Ince is just not good enough .

Didn't his dad say he wouldn't be moving anywhere unless he would be playing first team football?
