OMG a bidding war! :wideyed:

Monaco: €5m
Levy: €5m and a packet of Quavers
Monaco: €5m and 2 packets of Quavers

This looks like a deadline day nail biter :nailbiting:
and we will chuck in some sure fire (allegedly) insider tips (nudge nudge) from our owner who isnt our owner but sort of is our owner but isnt until after the trial

As long as we bring in another high quality CB (Tapsoba, Lukeba, Hincapié), this guy would be a good addition for cover. Romero will be injured/ suspended/ with Argentina, Tapsoba will have ACN. We need two quality CB additions.

He wants to come. Way we doing business has not changed. I’m feked with it all. Makes ITK look ****ish. Do not raise your expectations..
When even Hercules has nothing but bad vibes that’s really not a good sign.

I’d like to think other clubs dither as much as us - United with the Barcelona midfielder last year, say. But we do seem to be incapable of making decisions any time there’s any scope for doubt about a player’s long-term value, even on a presumably lower-cost deal like this.

Is this guy even an upgrade on what we have? Thought he'd be proper last resort to be honest. 🥴
He’s a material upgrade on Sanchez, Tanganga, Davies and probably Dier.

again - all depends on the role we’d be getting him for and what we’re trying to achieve. He’d be a significant upgrade to our existing backups.

Yeah I think this is similar to the Solomon situation, in that just because he’s the cheap option, it doesn’t mean he’s the worst.

In fact, as of right now, I’d rate him as quite a bit better than Van De Ven. (Van De Ven higher potential though)

Think he's better than Dier, Sanchez & Tanganga. Would also be solid cover for Romero when he's injured/away as, unlike some of the other players we're linked with, he's right footed and has played on the right plenty.

I think what's more important to us is that he's different. Others have had plenty of chances to impress and failed so just on the basis of getting someone new is an improvement. He's got pace, young enough to improve and home grown. Seems a smart one so think we should just move on this one at least.

Ream held that centre back area together for Fulham last season. I like their fullbacks too. Tosin would have probably the last defender from Fulham I’d want to sign out of their back four.

Who’s the next on the list in the data driven approach (rather than the signing players with a year left on their contract approach) if he goes to Monaco then I wonder?

I didn't watch much of Fulham last season, but I do recall they had a very solid defensive record under Parker and conceded a surprisingly low number of goals for a team that got relegated (only 3 more than Leicester who finished 5th). Tosin looked decent for them that season whenever I watched them, although they couldn't score goals for shit.

according to baldy's financial data driven approach, probably no one and hope Ange can coach Dier/Sanchez/Tanganga/Rodon

We’re a rash Romero challenge away from a CB pairing of Dier & Davies against Man Utd. I’m used to rollercoasters but this season has the potential to be like riding The Big One while suffering vertigo after taking acid.
