Amazing to think we've still got two or three decent players to add to our streamlined squad. Things are looking up at the lane.

One goal from a corner and the other created by a full back making a forward run and getting a decent cross in! And all in one half of football. I'm must be bloody dreamin'

Our attacking play is becoming more varied, looking for runners and balls over the top.
Playing out and around the back is scaring me slightly though.

Hughes looks fucking miserable, good work lads.. :sneaky:

We should be looking for a lot more goals against this average Stoke team. Walker looks shakey against anyone with a brain really. Davies redeemed an otherwise average first half and thankfully Chadli scored as I was getting nostalgic for Bobby.

Alderweild is fucking amazing, what a bloody signing.

Dier protecting the defence for the rest of the season might be the way to go.

Kane's vision is something else, what a bloody player

Decent half. I think our attacking looks awkward at times particularly when we have held the ball for a bit, but we have created enough chances when we are able to transition pretty quickly and spring the ball forward. We've had a couple of let offs, but Stoke have been absolutely rancid.

More goals out there for us.

We're playing great, I love it! Also fun to see us trying to play a lot more direct and catching our opponents on the break. Clint must love what he sees from the stands. So many opportunities for a quick player!

And my god, Kane's vision and passing is soooooo fucking good! That pass to Mason

So good that Mason was able to get healthy. He's done a great job on both sides of the ball today. A couple key blocks to go with his attack.

Mason looking excellent today. Perhaps the more defensive capabilties of Dier alongside him, as opposed to Bentaleb, is giving him more confidence to get involved going forward. Great first half from us.

Dier has played really well. His positioning has been good, he has pressed with conviction, kept the ball well playing it simply, and even looked inventive when he has foraged forward. It was interesting to see him pick up the CB position when Vertonghen made a forward run which could become part of our play.

Kane showing a superb range of passing today. Hope he gets on the score sheet today as well.

Good half! But we still have the same issues as always (not surprising since it's basically all the same players). I'd like to see Lamela for Dembélé early second half because I really don't like Dembélé out wide. Dier and Mason is very solid in midfield and looks like a better combination than Dier and Bentaleb did. Alderweireld is a rock. Can't wait to see what N'jie will bring to the side.

We haven't looked inspired in front of goal exactly but we have looked solid. I still really do not like seeing us play both Chadli and Dembele play as it just leaves us looking a bit ineffective from wide positions. Nevertheless, well done lads, lets hope we can put a similar shift in when we come back out.
