Has Dembele passed the ball forward just once this half? His pressing is good, but when on the ball he's slowing us down by 10%. Get him off, will never be better.

It's mad but I think Kane has the ability to be as much as or even more of a threat creating for others in the no.10 role than as an out and out striker. Provided there is good movement. Hopefully that's what Clinton will bring.

When he first broke into team many thought that was his best position.

Gives us options I guess, he could either play as the centre forward or a little further back.

A lot of positives, in particular Mason, who has played with great energy, his work off the ball going forward is superb, his work off the ball going backwards still needs a bit of work. Eriksen look's like he's finally worked out how to take a corner. Kane has been creating for others and dropping deep to get the ball which has helped us keep the ball. But most of all I'm chuffed with the Verts and Alderweireld pairing, they can both defend and are both comfortable with the ball at their feet, proper classy. Walker hasn't played badly but looks like a red card waiting.

Not a big fan of chadlis overall game but he scores. I like it when he scores

... He's one of those irksome players who pop up and score - rather like Rosicky does to us. We need a couple of players like that. Very happy with him and Eriksen from the bale money.

Alderweild is fucking amazing, what a bloody signing.

Dier protecting the defence for the rest of the season might be the way to go.

Kane's vision is something else, what a bloody player

funny this, not too many pre-game shouts for Dier as the answer to the DCM question... :ROFLMAO:

We're closing them down well but to be honest Stoke are very poor.
Some sensational through balls by Eriksen and Kane.
Seems to be a bigger part of the game plan.

Get a bit of pace in this side and then we have a variety of options. Looking good so far.

Walker still worries me but that aside, pretty solid.

We really need someone to put a big enough bid in for him that we can't say no. He really is the wrong player for us.

So good that Mason was able to get healthy. He's done a great job on both sides of the ball today. A couple key blocks to go with his attack.
Where has this recent obsession come from of describing players returning from injury as 'healthy'. Is it an American thing?

I'm pretty sure it hasn't been a common thing and only seem to have picked up on it in the last 6 months - 1 year, irks me.

We should be looking for a lot more goals against this average Stoke team. Walker looks shakey against anyone with a brain really. Davies redeemed an otherwise average first half and thankfully Chadli scored as I was getting nostalgic for Bobby.
Nostalgia's not what it used to be...
