10 mil +??

sorry i just had to laugh. You do realise this is 2014 and players with the quality that townsend has under the bonnet cannot be bought for that price. Man u bought phil jones for 17mil in 2011 ffs. Selling townsend at that price is just an awful piece of business[/quote

Phil Jones is better than Townsend.
Townsend has no end product...anyway I don't want to get into this debate. It's pointless. I don't know how 10m+ is 'awful' business for a player who hasn't made a real difference to our season, let alone get a starting place for us.

Don't forget Eriksen didn't cost over 13m...I think

Every single transfer window comes and people for some reason feel like the club need to get rid of Andros. For years it was lets sign Ince or Zaha, to the point even last season when Ince was a championship player, people thought he was better than Andros. Despite Andros clearly being a level above them in the U21's

Last season, here is the results of the ratings thread:
Vs Dinamo Tbilisi: Townsend voted MOTM with 210 votes. Paulinho 2nd with 11 votes!
Vs Swansea: Townsend 3rd best player(avg rating 7.5). Paulinho 1st!
Vs Arsenal: voted 3rd best player with 4.7% of the votes. Lloris got over 80%
Vs Norwich: avg rating between 6.5-7
Vs Cardiff: avg rating between 6.5-7
Vs Chelsea: avg rating 7
Vs West Ham: Motm with 78%
Vs Aston Villa: MOTM with 49%
Vs Hull: Motm with 31.7% played with a head injury and
Vs Everton: avg rating 6.5
Vs Newcastle: Avg rating shite(around 5)

So before his wrist injury, he was one of our best players but since then he hasn't had a run of games. However everyone just remembers the stats, but not one of our players had any decent stats under AVB

We were so desperate for a left winger that we tried to sign Stuart Downing for years!

This boy is a Spurs fan and has a terrific attitude. He deserves a chance to prove his doubters wrong.

I have to agree, people were pointing to stats saying schneiderlin is a good passer but the same stats in the past 2 weeks say Capoue does the same thing
I think the idea is to let those two do the dirty work so that our more creative players have freedom. If that's the case I think we have midfielders that can do that job already.

Benjamin Stambouli (born 13 August 1990) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur in English Premier League. Stambouli's father is Henri Stambouli, a former player and the current youth director of French club Marseille, and his grandfather is former manager Gérard Banide.[1][2] The younger Stambouli is a France youth international having earned caps at under-21 level. On 3 March 2010, he signed his first professional contract after agreeing to a three-year deal with Montpellier.[3] On 8 August 2010, Stambouli made his professional debut in a league match against Bordeaux.[4]
