Valencia have sacked manager Quique Sanchez Flores following a humiliating 3-0 La Liga defeat to Sevilla.
Flores' future at the club was already in some doubt after their shock 2-1 Champions League loss to Norwegian side Rosenborg, despite a start to the season that sees them lie third in the Liga table, behind only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Villarreal.
"The club have taken the decision to dismiss Quique Sanchez Flores from his role as head coach of Valencia C.F," read a statement by the club's board of directors.
Reserve team coach Oscar Fernandez has been put in charge of the club on a temporary basis.
