Latest ITK mentions Umtiti citing that he would fit our philosophy of having ball playing centre backs. Isn't Vlad exactly that? Sure, he needs to work on his concentration and decision making but so does Vertonghen! Verts, as much as I love him, makes a few errors, just look at last night's game with that awful pass to the opposition player that set up the play for their goal.

Chiriches has excellent technical ability and is at a young enough age to learn. Kaboul was similar and came but 10 times better after he'd gained some maturity and PL experience. Kaboul's downfall recently have been his injury woes, restricting him game time and pegging him back. Perhaps Vlad's back problem is more severe than we thought. Or perhaps he wants first team football. If it's the latter than a loan might not be a bad idea. Like Kaboul he may come back a lot better.

The only footballing reason I can really think of is that he's poor in the air, which, unless you subscribe to the Blake Griffin theory that a high press will mean we'll never have to defend against high balls into the area again, is a pretty serious weakness in the EPL. Still, we could probably have worked round it. This suggests that there may be a non-footballing reason.

New rules brought in by FIFA mate. They introduced no corners, no free kicks and aerosol spray at the same time. Problem is they don't need the spray now

He's an NBA player - Plays for the Clippers. Decent player too, but I'm not too sure how knowledgeable he is with football. To be honest I'm not even sure if he has heard of a corner or a freekick.

Agreed, but the ITK about us moving on to other players to shift because some just won't go comes to mind. Can't see us selling Dawson easily.

If there's one thing I absolutely trust Pochettino to know it's how to fit CBs into his system. If he's seen enough to think Vlad isn't the right guy then we are right to get rid.

I doubt Poch wants to lose Vlad but we need a CB who can dominate our own area. We have been kack at set pieces for years. If we are to bring in Fazio or whoever we need to generate some funds and create a space for him. Poch knows what he's doing.
