I'd be so against replacing Chiriches with Vlaar. Makes no sense whatsoever. If compare the two Chiriches seems far, far more suited to Pochettino style of football. Vlaar did well at WC, importantly in a 3 at back. Pretty average at Villa season gone.

There IS interest in Vlad Chiriches from AS Roma. BUT Levy wants to recoup all of the £7.5m that Spurs paid. Roma want to pay less #COYS

Don't panic guys - I know these rumours sound strange but we really don't know what goes on behind the scenes, players attitudes, what happens in training etc. IF this is true, I know it's not easy with our history but we have to trust the club have their reasons. Poch seems very defence minded so I doubt he'll leave us short. I don't think any sales, dawson included will be sanctioned until replacements come in.

Someone on Twitter made a very good point and said that maybe, Vlad (with his **** of an agent IIRC) heard of the Roma interest (a CL club) and asked to leave because he was attracted by CL football.
