Agree. After five windows of total inaction following Wanyama's knee injury I'm not sure there's anything in the known universe that could move Levy to buy a fucking DM. It all feels completely hopeless.Mourinho can do that all he wants but we know it will have no effect on levy.
Joe Cole says Capoue’s challenge not a red, and then compares it to Aubameyang’s tackle last week
Honestly think it was a case of us struggling with the physical battle today, and considering the players we had available there was not a lot Jose could have done on that front. The only mistake I feel was Tanganga at LB to take on what looked like a traditional right winger.
Quite worrying if Jose needs to put pressure on Levy at this early stage at Spurs!Good, Levy has demonstrated that he's totally and completely reactive in the transfer market. No hope whatsoever of him proactively solving the problems that are staring us in the face, so Jose applying pressure on him publicly is about the only thing we can hope will spur him to action.
Poch did very well coaching our squad. But he was far from perfect. His transfer activity is proving to have been extremely questionable, under his methods and staff multiple players have deteriorated massively through injury, he was contributing to a feeling of malaise with some very negative media appearances (even openly considering resignation), and several key players had grown unhappy with his management. Perhaps most importantly, his tactics consistently failed to win us the very biggest of games in the final stages of cups or title challenges. That's not to say he isn't a good manager, or won't also do very well else where. But I think the days of managers staying and succeeding for multiple generations of squads are over, and he certainly had not demonstrated that he was the man to oversee such an overhaul. I'm not sure whether Mourinho will prove to be the right man for the job or not, but I don't think we had much choice but to change. Poch was the manager who took us from being West Ham, to the verge of greatness, and right back down to being West Ham 2.0 again - that latter part cannot simply be ignored with nostalgia goggles.
How far we have fallen.
Out of this current side, only Toby, Jan, Aurier and Son are good enough.
Joe Cole is an illiterate fuckwit who genuinely hates us. How he is making a living talking about anything is beyond me.
This is the man, when talking about Fabio Capello's England reign, said "me and the boys were wondering what's going on here. I mean, he don't speak no English."
A cretin.
Find myself agreeing with this for sure. As for Tanganga i'd have maybe gone for Sessegnon who's actually shown himself to be fairly competent defensively at LB so far. Crucial thing is he's left footed and I always feel it's easier for a natural LB to defend a natural RW. Surely Jose would have known about Sarr before the match.Yeah I don't really get the criticism overall. We picked a technical side to get the ball on the deck and play football and control the game in their half. There are two teams involved though and bar the first 10 minutes Watford didn't let us do that. Sometimes the game just pans out that way. When you're constantly clearing your lines and trying to take the ball down 80 yards from goal and do something don't expect much.
I don't even think we got bossed physically. We scrapped away and it was a very even game.
Tanganga was out of position, but if he couldn't live physically with Sarr who could in our side?
Seems like a lot of our fans (not you) are just angry regardless of the game/performance and wind-milling at their favourite punchbags. I've already seen the stuff like Aurier was total crap, Winks did nothing, Eriksen wasn't trying, as a whole we weren't bothered, sack the manager and the board etc etc etc and just shaking my head.

He’s been left behind in football, I really wanted him to do well. Levy will not back him as all the other managers that have been sacked due to the complete incompetence of Levy who has caused all the issues at our club and completely fucked it right up, well done Daniel you bald little man. Jose will get sacked next due to him not being backed. Please sell us please just fuck off, you insult me wearing that Tottenham badge on your jacket because it only represents pound coin signs to you and Lewis. Pair of fuck witsOh grand old Jose Mourhino he had 11 men, he marched them up to the top four and he marched them back again.
We understandably didn't have much to spend while the stadium was built, and do appear to have a lot more now it is going by the summer window and activity in this one already. But when you look at Poch's transfers, very few were successful. Do you blame Levy for not investing in the squad at the same time as the stadium, or the rest of the staff for the poor way in which the money we did have was spent? I certainly think we could have done better than what we did get which was literally a whole squads worth of players with only three really being considered good enough now:
N'Jie
Stambouli
Janssen
Fazio
N'Koudou
Clarke
Ndombele
Sessegnon
Lo Celso
Yedlin
Aurier
Lopez
Vorm
Gazzaniga
Wimmer
Foyth
Llorente
Wanyama
Sissoko
Sanchez
Lucas
Davies
Trippier
Dier
Alderweireld
Dele
Son

Bloody Christian Eriksen
