Tancredi Palmeri an Italian Journo for CNN has been beating the Sneijder to Spurs drum all day on Twitter and confirmed VdV has definitely talked to Sneijder about the move. This would be the biggest coup since VdV but I am not getting excited yet, been far too many false dawns of signing top quality players to be disappointed.
Hi donny sorry didn't mean I mark this a dumb must have done it by accident whilst scrolling in my iPhone

Im not super excited over sneijder as i dont think he will be able to help Us much over the rest of the season. he is gonna arrive match unfit and with a injury history just as bad as Vdv. and with his age and injury proneness i dont see how he can be a part of the long term "project" either. But when fit he is no doubt a good player.

not sure if serious.
Sneijder would bring immediate grace and composure to the team. His decision making is unparalleled.

I really don't want to spend the next month pining for this, just to have my heart broken. Like a long date with a beautiful girl, which seems to be going so well, which promises so many sublime pleasures to come, yet ends with nothing but a kiss on the cheek as she leaves you for some charmless red-nosed Scottish geezer who just happens to be flush.

In retrospect, maybe it's better to get the Levy special midnight surprise on the 30th of Jan...that is if the surprise is the new vdV, not the new Rasiak...

If he would arrive and have the same effect as vdV, match unfitness and injury history and all, I think most of us would be pretty pleased.

Agree that VdV Was super for us. but how do you build a team around a player who is only available for 60 mins every other or third match? And is it justifieable to pay top wages for such a player whether he plays or not?

These are my concerns

Sneijder doesn't have a history of injuries like VdV has and always has been able to complete 90 mins, you are right to have these concerns though as he hasn't played football for 3 months so initially he'd be lacking in fitness.

ah ok. i was led to believe he had similar hammy issues to Rafa, but if not i will be slightly more optimistic over this. but yeah, he will be pretty unfit when/if he arrives
