Well I'm English and I say this guy is quality.

Was great at Schalke and keeps improving.

In fact, he has such a well rounded game that I'm actually not quite sure what he isn't good at.

Can tackle, pass incisively, take the ball on the half turn, uses his body well, good feet, is press resistant, well balanced, scores goals, and runs all day long.

He seems to have that bit of steel about him and not over-awed by the big stage. Which is great because obviously some of our players are mentally weak as piss.

Would settle straight into the PL, makes our XI better now, and has huge potential.

€30m Euros for a player of his quality seems an unbelievable deal!
I agree.

We're reportedly paying 25m Euros for Pape Matar Sarr (and sending him back on loan) who is a relatively unknown quantity compared to McKennie who put in a MOTM shift at the Camp Nou in the Champions League last year.

Not to mention the potential commercial synergies of bringing in one of America's biggest stars.

Romano was saying he doesnt think Paratici will go back for any Juve players this summer and it might even be in his contract.

Interesting. If Juventus are actively trying to sell him though and we meet their asking price its hard to imagine there being any issues.

No chance its I'm his contract, I can't imagine a world where Juventus are fearful we aren't going to swoop in and take their players.

In the event of McKennie 's exit , on which the interest of Paratici's Tottenham is strong, the name of Witsel is back in fashion with the midfielder who has already given his ok to the transfer.

This is further to whatever came out earlier from Di Marzio?
yes, this was released recently. says we hold a strong interest compared to earlier.
This is just DiMarzio's daily news stories roundup. Rarely does it have wholly new news without a corresponding article. Just seems like it is summarizing their story earlier today with slightly different verbage.

I know quite a few folks in England are wary of the quality of US players... with Pulisic being an exception. But McKennie is merely one, in a stockpile of fantastic talent coming through the ranks. The US national team has an embarrassment of riches coming through the youth ranks. Some truly exceptional players with a ton of potential. Most of whom are between the ages of 17 and 21.

Scouts in Germany, Holland, Belgium have certainly gotten wind of this, and are quite aggressive about signing these players up. I hope Paratici and Hitchen take a long look at the US market as a pipeline for acquiring young, promising players to add to U23 and U18s.

Mark my words... in six years the US will be one of the top 10 national teams in the world. And the likes of McKennie is just the tip of the iceberg... their are players three or four years younger than him, who will be better than him.
