Ignoring my allegiance to Arsenal and looking at this from a football fan’s perspective, I could never understand why Spurs sacked Pochettino in the first place.
They had made great progress under him, but needed to back him further in the transfer market if they were to make that final push for honours.
They went backwards under Mourinho and it’ll take time to reverse that trend, even with Poch.

I keep seeing Arsenal fans mentioning how we should be embarrassed that we only finished one point ahead of them because it’s their worst season for years.

What do they think ours was? We were goddamn motherfucking awful for 3 quarters of the season and we still finished above them.

I’m more embarrassed that West Ham finished above us but at least their fans recognise that it’s been their best season for 1.6 billion years and our worst since the 90’s and they still only finished one place above us.

My gooner mate admitted he had 2 texts ready to send at the final whistle on Sunday. One was ‘haha, you’re shit, can’t believe we finished above you after the season we’ve had’ and the other was ‘haha, you’re shit, thank fuck we’re not in that Europa division 7 competition’.

There was a caller on talksport the other day saying similar. Talking about how Spurs are behind because Arsenal have already started the rebuild and Spurs have that to come. I'd be a bit more worried if the rebuild had been going 18 months and the team was still rubbish.

With Ozil & Luiz gone there is talk that following him will be Leno / Bellerin / Willock / Kolasinac / Torreira / Guendouzi and Nketiah.

They have dumped millions on giveaways and freebies.

Talkshite WHU fan...“I’m getting a bit fed up of all this Tottenham talk... Who’s gonna want to join them??”

? “We finished above them, we’re in Europe. We’re a bigger club, all day long!”

Paul the West Ham fan asks why anyone would want to join Spurs & claims West Ham are the bigger club.

Let’s see how they get on with playing the extra games in Europe. They have a coach in charge who’s won everything-sorry nothing- should be fun.

TalkSport is Jerry Springer for football. I don't think any of the callers are real.

West Ham used to come down with the Christmas decorations, we used to say. I’m praying the Thursday-Sunday treadmill will destroy their squad and they will plummet in the second half of the season. I tried to be magnanimous with some of the fans I know but they’re just idiots.

That’s kind of cute. Bless him for his naivety. West Ham had a great season, Moyes got them playing quite well, but both us and Arsenal had terrible seasons. Next season I fully expect Us, Arsenal, Everton and Leeds to improve again and probably finish above West Ham who will struggle with the added games. It’ll be a fun adventure for them though.

I listened to that in the car earlier. He was a proper stereo typical West Ham fan. A bit too much if you ask me. Do you reckon it was a real caller or one of their staff joining in?

He said he wouldn’t play for us for £1 million per week if he were a footballer. It just sounded a bit suspect to me.
