They were like that to everyone. I went to quite a few West Ham home games in the late 70's and early 80's and they were all tasty from that point of view. I knew a lot of fans from all sorts of clubs and they were all more concerned with Chelsea and when possible, Millwall for a very long time. I think it's already been alluded to but Chelsea starting to be successful killed that vibe so we were probably next in line. If we start winning things they'll probably pick on Leyton Orient :D
Then with any luck Orient will get promoted to the prem and start finishing above them and inning more trophies than them! :playful: :playful:

Arsenal fans saying Jesus will outscore Kane this season and get 20 plus in the prem plus 5-10 assists
I'm sure we're all waking up in the middle of the night in cold sweats with that prediction

Son will prob score 25-30 without taking pens

I think arsenal will have a decent season. When confidence is high they will steamroll the smaller teams in the league.

It's just if they have a blip or the going gets tough how well they can bounce back

Do they really though? I seem to remember them sneaking loads of games by the odd goal 1-0 last year and that finally caught up with them in the end. Jesus is not that prolific.

Arsenal are a good side and I genuinely do rate Jesus, Zinchenko, and Saka. They will challenge for Top 4, we need to be realistic about it. The race came down to the final day this year, they will be close, as will Chelsea and United. Let's not get too cocky here.

On the other hand, that twitter post is peak delusion. FFS, wanking themselves silly over a pre-season match against Chelsea going half-speed pretty much epitomizes that fanbase to a T.

Obsession over the unimportant wins, erasure of the crucial losses.

He isn't, but has never been a regular starter. If we look at it that he is an improvement on what they had last season, it should make them stronger this season.

I still think their midfield isn't strong enough though, and even though they have improved, I don't think it's by anywhere near enough to worry us yet.

I actually begrudgingly agree. They do seem well drilled, but I hope they fuck it all up. Pre-season is still pre-season, and even a good team can be hammered by absolute shite, depending on how they've trained, which is what I'm clinging to atm.
They finished like shit last season and they're still so confident, if they actually do something this season, shit's gonna get weird. Every fanbase, bar Arsenal, will have to leave social media.

He has them playing good footy preseason. I've watched a few of their games and their attack have looked fluid. Jesus looks decent so far. Seems to be enjoying himself

Fair enough I have not watched anything of them in preseason, they probably will do better but I think quite a few teams will do better.

Same as usual for them. They'll beat the weaker teams because they can freestyle their way to a win, then lose to the top 6 because they'll need a really advanced game plan with experienced pros to carry it out (well at least a game plan that doesn't involve asking your blockhead defender to consistently foul the oppo's LWF and then elbow him in the face for good measure), without mistakes, and with a goalscorer to take the one chance they might get. They can't do the second thing and so will fall short.

Also, they say some really dumb things about us, to keep this on-topic.

Had Kulu and Bents been here from the start we'd been miles ahead of them.

Now they're settled, Conte's got a preseason into them all and we've added some serious quality.

Arsenal are wont be that close to us imo.

Let's not forget since Conte took over at Spurs last November his points tally was 3rd best in the league above Chelsea, 3rd best defence and 3rd best attack. If he had been in charge at the start of the season it wouldn't have gone down to the last day of the season for 4th place .
