slightly concerned, given our current form and fixture list that liverpool may usurp us at 5th

If he really did say that, he's an idiot.

I thought he said he was too similar to VDV. Anyway, as much as I would have loved Suarez to sign for us, he didn't. So let's forget about the what-ifs and hope that Pav, Crouch and Defoe can step up.

The reason we didn't sign Suarez is because he use to play as Liverpool on his PS2 when he was ten

That kind of treachery, is not welcome at this club :snooty:

Awhile back Suarez wanted to join a london club as he said his family would want to stay at the capital but apparently we gave up our pursuit and went for other strikers.

Shame, I think Harry doesn't want him. Plus he's more of a second striker, we need player like Carroll, second striker we have VDV already.

I didn't think Suarez had that great a game. Was more impressed by Carroll of the two

I'm suprised by how many people here seem to know the club from the inside. Feel like I'm missing out!

tbh he had a very good first half but was very wastefull in the second.

people saying liverpool did well getting Carroll and Saurez by selling Torres would say that we lack ambition if we sold Bale to chelsea to get those 2o in. Get a grip people

To hell with Suarez, the one that looks the real deal is Andy Carroll, who, without a doubt, would have slotted in really well at WHL.

THIS

and Dan was right, we moved on because in the eyes of the management he didnt fit the system, there were seemingly other players available (or not as it turned out) that did.

Since you've asked a question that, barring Harry Redknapp and/or Daniel Levy signing up for an SC account in order to divulge all the behind the scenes goings on, can only possibly end up with a thread full of speculation, I'm going to make the suggestion that the following incident unfolded:

Suarez, along with Feyenoord reserve keeper Darley Ramon Torres, plied Louise Redknapp with Shrooms and videod a subsequent roasting of Jamie's Missus whilst she was on a weekend visit to Amsterdam over Christmas, leading both players to have "beef" with the Redknapp clan and putting paid to any chance of either player pulling on a Spurs shirt whilst H is in charge(best to put that one to bed before the inevitable thread asking why we didn't sign Darley Ramon Torres eh?).

Uh except that Torres hasn't had a good game in months and Bale is emerging as one of the best players in the world. And Torres wanted to leave.

No comparison imo.

Carroll scored a couple tonight but his general play was poor and completely lacking in any finesse or vision. His technique is ho hum. His work rate was good, but Liverpool did that well.
