I like Lee but prefer him at LB - he'll be a vital squad member for us this season - especially if we're to win a trophy or two

Defence and central midfield were playing DEEP on Sunday. Let's face it, Lee's days are pretty much numbered if Gilberto gets his Work Permit.

Lee is a very good defencive LB, even when they play the ball in the air more often then not he either puts himself in prime position to stop the winger crossing, clears the ball after the winger heads the ball or actually gets up well and wins the header,Robbiepope has probably never seen him play live, in a positioning sense he is the best LB in the Country

Lee AFAIAA has always played left side (whether mid or def) and he has not got great pace either in short bursts or over a longer distance.

on the left he can go either way as a defender is pretty much expecting him to cut inside, and he can do his little step over trick.

On the right he cannot turn inside as this is taking him onto his weaker left foot, and he does not have the physical stature or pace to go on the outside as the defender will just step in and muscle him out, think Andy Sinton with less pace, power, skill and more one footed and your almost there.

That's exactly it, surely. He's bound to be far more comfortable on the left than he is the right because that's his position; on the left. It doesn't matter that he's right footed. He's a left back.

lol what a load of rubbish! Only if we saw that 'great' positional and defensive qualities this season then he might have not been part of a defence that has conceded 50 plus goals.

Lee is poor in the air (whatever position he is in!), he cant beat a player (even with fifty stepovers), he cannot cross a ball to save his life (hardly no assists) and top it off he goes down like his been shot whenever tackled, its embarrassing!
If you think lee is the best left back in the country in whatever sense then thats simply crazy.

Gunter, bale, o hara, Ekotto are all better options....

I will be amazed if lee is still a first team regular this time next season
