Yesterday's programme told us about the new players that have arrived since our last home game and those who have left. There were two of those, Gareth Bale and Massimo Loungo.

Gareth Bale was accorded a terse 38 words and Loungo, who played for us once and who even a fair few Spurs fans have never heard of' 78 words!

OK a lot has been written about Bale's departure already and the club are resentful of the way he manipulated his move but his achievements at Spurs were amazing. I don't need to recite them here- it's enough to say he is one of our greatest players ever.

As such he deserves more respect and the club look petty not giving it to him.

Probably thought fans wouldn't want too much about him in the programme.

The papers wrote 7 squillion words on Bale already... Thfc wanted other players to get a turn.

I mean, sheesh, every fan knows what became of former player, Gary Male.

Shame really. Ajax post a vid of Eriksen's best moments on their website and thank him for everything he did, but we can't celebrate the six years of one of the best footballers to ever play for us.

Ajax are the exception here. Not us. We've done eff all wrong.

We wish Gareth all the best in the future and he shall always be welcome at the Lane.

I think the difference is that Ajax wanted to sell Eriksen as he was in the last year of his contract where as we didn't want to sell Bale.

After the way Bale left I'm not surprised the club were pissed off with him. And rightly so.

You could also argue that Eriksen refused to sign a new contract and due to there being only a year left was sold for a much lower fee than they may have got. They said several times that they didn't want him to go.

I don't think the club have done anything particularly wrong with the way they have dealt with the aftermath of Bale going, but I feel Ajax have shown a touch of class that I would have liked to see us emulate.

78 words? Wow. Can't think of any more than 'missed the decisive penalty in league cup shootout'. The other fella has been covered extensively elsewhere.

Did he really miss that penalty?

Good riddance then... Er, would say Jose Mourinho, I'd er, imagine.

Didn't know that and if the only mention officially from Tottenham of Bale moving on are these pathetic few words then I agree 100% with you

We have just sold the most expensive footballer in history who put on some absolutely amazing performances which we will never forget, especially if you were their, which I was.

He's pretty much single handedly funded a new look squad and has put us even more globally on the map

When Rsol left he probably got 30 odd words too!!!!

Very sad.

I think Gareth Bale deserved a centre spread thanking him for his wonderful contribution and achievements for Tottenham Hotspur

To be fair, Luongo is someone that will go down in Spurs folklore...I can't wait to tell my kids about the days where Massimo Luongo was the king of White Hart Lane, before moving on to the greener pastures of Swindon in an unselfish effort to help some of his former teammates on loan there adjust and settle in.
