He's suspended for 2 matches, so if he's registered before tomorrow night's match, he'll only miss that (which he'd miss anyway) and the Man U match, whereas if he isn't registered until after the Burnley match, he'll miss our first league match back. So he'll sign by tomorrow afternoon. So far only one ITK has said 'done'. Normally you can expect around half a dozen or so to chime in well before the actual signing.
I'd be surprised if it's much before the weekend. Let's say Friday arvo. And I suspect there will be at least one more red herring thrown in by Wigan. They've done the 'there's another team' one, the 'we're offering him more money' one, and the 'we're resigned to losing him but the terms aren't right yet'. Which pretty much only leaves the old faithful 'the goalposts have been moved and the deal's off'. Watch this space.
SSN reported after having spoke to Harry that he said this is the only deal on at the moment and it is difficult to conduct business in this window when competing against the likes of Man City.
May well be true, we really aren't being linked with anyone else right now (aside silly rumours with zero substance)
I would not be suprised to see Defoe and Palcios as our only dealings.
Leaves us weak upfront for the Uefa, but does address two key areas we are lacking. Would have liked to see a LW and a Strong centre forward.
noIsn't Pav available for the next round of the UEFA cup??
Could play for us against Stoke.

Palacios is due to serve a two-match ban after pickig up his tenth yellow card of the campaign at the weekend so Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to complete the signing before Wednesday's Carling Cup trip to Burnley.
If he does, Palacios will be available for the home game with Stoke on January 27th.
If the deal isn't done until Thursday the midfielder won't be available until the trip to Bolton on January 31.

That is sad. He had a bright future ahead of him, but I have my doubts now. Spurs are cursed.
What are they all whining about. Now he's in London they'll at least be able to see him first hand:rofl:
