Milan To Axe Klaas-Jan Huntelaar In January - Report

The Rossoneri have reportedly decided Huntelaar's fate. The striker could be used as bait to bring in Tottenham Hotspur's Roman Pavlyuchenko, but Adriano remains first choice...

Pavluychenko should be patient and think of the bigger picture...Yes the World Cups coming and he's being encouraged to seek pastures green else where, but I still think he can have a big future at THFC, we haven't seen his best just yet and If he can produce the kind of form shown in previous tournament playing for Russia, he'll be hard to replace.

Huntelaar may not be 'the cream' that WE need at WHL. Pav is settled in and, without doubt, a class performer, but the club do not seem to always recognize a class act? That is one of the fears that we, as fans, will have to accept, if we are to gain CL access....
However, we must accept that 'Arry knows what is what and where to go from here....which is not clear to me....in the least....but who gets the wage ha ha? COYS!

unfortunately, pav is going to have to wait for an injury to get a chance. Shame as he is a class act (even if he doesnt always hit the target!)

You look at Pavs age and say that maybe he does need to move otherwise these are important lost years in his career.

I really want Pav to stay and I rate him above Crouch, and hope he stays because having 4 forwards will only be a strengh.

I really don't Huntelaar, where the service to the forwards at the club has improved immensely in the last 2 years, we still can't afford the luxury of a player like Huntelaar or Van Nistelrooy. If you look at our forwards, all of the can and do drop off and link with the midfield, the one that can't or doesn't as well is coincidentally the one not getting any games...

I like pav but fact of the matter is he's an international striker who has not even played a half of football in the league this season. it's counter productive for us when someone younger with more potential could be getting an opportunity and it's unfair on pav who is seeing his career destroyed like rebrovs was on his prime. of an acepyable offer comes ill wish him well and look forward to the future.

The way he played tonight after coming on at the 54 minute mark, showed he is lacking match practice. His decision making was dire and I hope he doesn't get near our first team if he isn't motivated enough to put in a performance for his country in a must-win game for the Ruskis.

harsh. our fault he lacks sharpness not his. I don't think he looked lacking on motivation, he was just brought on when he was out of shape and his team were already shocking

I have just come back from Milan today, and the Sports shops have Milan shirts with Huntelaar on in their shop windows, so I do not think it would go down well with their fans if they sold him.

I was pleased to see our game against Bolton was shown live on SKY 3 out there, they followed up with the Man U Sunderland game live.

I would love to see Pavlyuchenko get a little run in the side and be given a chance because I think he is potentially a better option than both Keane and Defoe. But only potentially, and therein lies the dilema.

I think he is a good finisher with both feet and head. With Crouch sharing the workload Pav could really feed off him and I think he finishes every bit as good as Keane and Defoe but is stronger than Defoe and braver than Keane.

I think both Keane and Defoe's overall team contribution is very over rated by many and Pav could do no worse than these two in terms of an overall contribution to the team dynamic and just might be better.

It seems Huntelaar isn't exactly setting Milan alight, seems we did better in going for Crouch...

Huntelaar wouldn't walk into the team with Defoe, Keane and Crouch all scoring, so it would be a pretty pointless deal from our perspective...

Would keep the other 3 on their toes though wouldn't it, pretty much how it is now, you'd get another year before the 4th choice wanted to leave.

4 strikers just doesnt work. We dont need four top strikers. At no point over the last however many of seasons of having 4 top strikers has it worked. There has always been at least one upset player, normally two, and forcing changes just to give a 4th choice player a game doesnt help things.

Pav will leave - he simply will not get the games. When we sell him Gio should be moved to 4th choice striker, and if we want to get another physical player then it should be someone very young or someone who can also do a job somewhere else on the pitch.

Huntelaar is not this player,, obviously.

How is it our fault?

I'm not saying that we've done anything wrong, but it is down to us that he is not match fit because we are the ones who choose not to play him.

Therefore, our fault that he is not match fit. I don't necessarily disagree with his absence from the line up, but he has certainly not chosen to end up 4th choice and therefore fail to play much football, it is our decision because we feel we have better choices.
