Rumour is that Redknapp refuses to play him because Levy did a Nugent with both Sheff U RBs and he doesn't actually rate either Kyle.

shit. that would be unequivocally disastrous especially in its implications for the state of their relationship and our future.

where did you hear that?

Very worrying if true. But would Redknapp be one to put up with it?

I don't think it's any secret that Levy and Redknapp can't stand each other, but are able to have a working relationship.

I've read 'the Nugent-Naughton story' on a few boards like this, but mostly from Blades fans who are expecting Naughton back on loan in a few weeks time.

interesting. very very damaging if true. I didn't realise that to be honest- do you have a source that has given you any substance on the Harry/ Levy relationship?

to be honest I am a fan of Levy but if he fucks it up with Harry then he's truly had it and should step down. I thought after Jol he had learnt his lesson about how to treat managers, he messed it up with Ramos big time but if he does so with Harry and doesn't give him what he wants then that is truly shocking.

what benefit could possibly be derived from spending that kind of money on a player who your manager doesn't rate? I very very sincerely hope that this doesn't prove to be true.

Oh dear. I think you should face the reality that you have heard a couple of rumours, well, lies if we're going to call a spade a spade, from United fans who have no source with Spurs whatsoever.

Levy and Harry's friendship has gone back years. They may disagree on various footballing and business principles but every source I respect maintains the dialogue is always friendly and Levy has never signed players over his managers heads, so why would he start now?

The Blades fans you speak to have made this up.

If you want proof watch any of the Blades' games this season. Walker has played them all and looked excellent. Harry is not a stupid man and an excellent judge of a footballer. He'll know the kid is doing well. He also knows the Kyle's are young and bearing in mind it was his decision (as far as I know) to abandon our ressies to allow the youngsters competitive football, the idea that Harry wants rid makes no sense.

Your friends may be right however about Naughton going out on loan. I'd be amazed if he didn't. But, if anything, that just makes him more likely to impress Harry and have a more secure future at Tottenham - disappointing though that may be to them.

And somehow they've duped us in to using "gotten" instead of "got" :-|

Mind you a lot of the words they use like hog for pig or fall for autumn, or even spellings like color rather than colour are the original old English which they stuck to while the Victorians tried to latinise our English because they thought it was more sophisticated like that.

I think it's far more likely that he plays Corluka or Hutton because they are far more experienced international players and better (in Corluka case anyway) at the moment.

What can I say - Happy and Sad about ledders - Happy because I for one have been saying since September that he needs to retire - everyone said he would be back and to not jump to conclusions, he is the best CB in the league and we need to wait! Well at last it seems the waiting is over - 4 months of waiting, but at last we know will have a direction - BUY a world class CB to partner Dawson or bassong, or Woddy (If we ever see him again?)

Sad, because he is Mr Tottenham, solid, reliable skilful and a gentleman - he will be sadly missed on the field, but I am sure he will be kept on to coach - and by the way, something we really need a good defensive coach!

Cahill would be terrific, have always liked him, he just causes trouble upfront, and is great at defending set pieces - However bit of a contradiction as it was also said we would not get a striker or a MF player??

Sandro I am happy with as it seems he is a real DMF, something we need.

As for JJ and Hudd, and Keane I guess they till the end of the season to prove they merit Harry's praise........me, not to sure on all 3!

Under no circumstacnes is Ledley leaving good for us. It might be a nessessity. It might be time to move on interms of players but it's not a good thing.. or good for us or any other moronic turns of phrase people are using. He's a fucking legend and an awesome player for us.
Saddest moment of my SPurs supporting life-time. gutted. We won't see a defender as good in a long time maybe never and at 32 years old i don't think i've got it in me to get emotionally attached to one player ever again. A hero. The cynic in me is too powerful a force to feel any genuine affinity with individuals anymore... I hope i'm proved wrong but when this news is officially announced I think a little bit of tRiKS will be lost forever too.

I feel your pain mate, but we have to look at the bigger picture - not having a consistent CB pairing at Spurs is killing us - I am sure if it comes, it will be Ledders who makes the decision, I final gallant decision, to help his team! Gentleman, legend!

If that is true, why when Hillbillies are violating fat men do they say: "Squeal like a PIG, boy, squeal like a PIG":eek:mg::eek:mg::eek:mg:

Regarding the rumours:
Pav's gonna go, no matter than some feel he ain't had a proper chance - I guess in exchange for Cahill is as good as anything, especially as, apart from one of games against us, there is less chance of his coming back to haunt us ooop there.

Think the ant-Keane 'hysteria' is ridiculous and it would be madness to sell him.

Even at this late hour I would love it if Bentley could turn things around, as he has unteachable talent, but he has also beena bit of a cock, so if we can get the money to improve the squad, with players for the right positions, or who will be happier than he has been biding his time, then so be it.

In regard to Ledders, I got pasted at the start of last season for saying that hard decisions need to be made. And with the 'new contrac' thread for suggesting that he be given a coaching/ambassadoriao role, and keeps his player registration (in case:cry:), but that we should now be planning for a central defence without him.

One rumour I am glad is not there, and which will see SP go into Incredible Hulk-like rage - Anton Ferdinand: keep that 'creature' away from our club!:bang:

On the striker front, 'Arry has been looking at a few young'uns (been on trial), so maybe none bought in a big money sense, but someone unexpected will arrive.

The Naughton thing is probably because Kyle Walker got injured so Sheffield Utd very likely asked for a short loan of Kyle Naughton, nothing sinister about that I don't think, it's also such a natural assumption that it's the sort of thing that can be made up and readily believed.
As for the Redknapp/levy thing I suspect there are still plenty of the anti Levy brigade that will always want to see bad where there is good good.

No offence rebrab, but I don't believe a word of it.

Fair enough, ITK's (despite what most people think) don't have the right to be trusted without proof. It's up to itks to give consistently accurate info, not for readers to instantly believe!
