JJ won't be leaving in January. Harry rates him (as he does Huddlestone) and won't let him leave. Obviously this could change if we get someone like Muntari in, but Sandro's probably incoming won't affect JJ's position in any way except for added competition for places.

Also, Bentley didn't throw a shinpad at Harry, that is nonsense apparently! Looks like he will be shipped off in January though, possibly to Liverpool or Man City for about 11/12 million. Hutton and Pav should be on their way too. Also, it is with great sadness that I report that Ledley may not be getting a new contract anymore... although at the start of the season we were hopeful to get a 30 game season from him, now his body is so shattered he can't do it anymore... sorry folks .

In terms of signings in, expect experience, not young'uns. No new midfielders in (except sandro). Sensationalist swap on the cards as well I've been told, Pav to Bolton for Gary Cahill (he is a young'un I know, but has Prem experience). I know swaps don't happen often though (although they are tried more than you think, but there is a lot more to go wrong!) so don't count on this one. Up front, Keane is staying as are JD and Crouchy. We won't sign any new forwards.

It's silly season again folks!

Cheers for sharing, though. Good on you, rebrab. Nice to see you back in action.

My understanding of the shinpad thing was that that happened against the Daggers a few weeks back and this time he was just crap/didn't try. Either way, not good.

Ledley is the bad news we all feared but half-expected. Any idea if he would still get a testimonial/shorter term deal?

It would be madness to sell Hutton unless we've bought a defender in

We have Kyle Naughton...

Cheers for that rebrab. Some good info.

Shame about Ledley, but maybe in the long run for the club, it would be best. I'm sure he'll be around though, hopefully get a testimonial too.

Good news about Keane, but I never though he'd leave anyway. He's Tottenham now.

Shame about Pav, Harry obviously just doesn't fancy him. Interesting about Bentley to Liverpool, if Levy got 11 million for him he'd have worked wonders, again.

good info. can you elaborate more on the striker situation, and where Harry sees Keane fitting into the grand scheme of things? I would be concerned if the striker situation continues as it is, as Keane's ongoing presence is so counter-productive.

Watching some of Muntari's recent Inter appearances give me Jenas any time. Muntari is an average player with poor control. I dont know what Jose sees in him.

Thanks as always rebrab

Shame there was nothing new about O'Hara. I guess he is staying at Pompey until the end of the season but i'd love to know what Redknapp and O'Hara thinks beyond that.

No idea, sorry. My guess is he's as good as gone, but just speculation.

As per ledley (sorry bill oddie, still can't multiquote on my iPhone!), a short term deal could still happen, maybe even pay as you play. But it's not looking good

Agreed. Although Ledley has been\is payed well by the club, i hope that when the time comes for him to retire, be it now  or in the future, he is looked after by the club and offered some kind of coaching role.

I think Pav's probably just had it with England. Could easily see him head back to Russia.
